"Muddy Driveways performed a superb job on our very challenging, broken and beaten up driveway. They were honest, intelligent, attentive, efficient, and helpful in every way possible. It now looks fantastic and is extremely safe to drive on. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of work on their driveway."

Not only did I have them remodel my kitchen but because they did such a good job I added a bathroom remodel also had them remodel my patio to a cozy little outdoor relaxation area. 100% would recommend this team for anything you can throw at them!!!!"

"Ryan was super responsive and professional. He provided quotes quickly and updated them, when needed. We had to wait for warmer weather to get started, and Ryan reached out to me promptly when the weather changed to get us on the books. He and his team were thorough and professional. The day they were supposed to lay the concrete, he canceled the delivery last minute because the weather was not conducive to proper curing. I was thankful he did that, because I would not have known the difference. I'd highly recommend them. Our driveway looks great. We just had to get some topsoil to fill in the edges after the frame was removed."

"I have now hired Aidan and his crew 3 times. I am a restoration architect and own a townhouse in the Park Slope landmark district and wanted to use a contractor that I do not typically do business with on a professional basis. The project was filed with the Landmarks Preservation Commission and required rigorous matching of three types of stone. Sunnyside did an excellent job of matching the stone and also addressed the spalls, mortar joints and displaced stone on the facade. Aidan is a professional, a gentlemen and a pleasure to work with. His crew which includes his brothers are equally professional and courteous. I waited to write this review to see if the work and relationship could be maintained over the long term. It has."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

You should always hook up your pressure washer to the water supply before turning it on and ensure there’s a good water flow. If you try to turn the machine on without water in the system, it overworks and overheats the unlubricated pump. This can quickly lead to irreversible damage.

Yes, a pressure washer uses less water than a garden hose. There are many ways to use a pressure washer, and it can be an eco-friendly hose substitute. While a pressure washer expels water with greater force, it uses 50% to 70% less water than a garden hose. Specifically, hoses put out six to 10 gallons per minute (GPM), while pressure washers only use two to five GPM.

The best driveway cleaner for oil stains depends on the type of surface and the severity of the stain. An absorbent abrasive like baking soda works for many circumstances. By following up the baking soda with a white vinegar rinse, you can increase the effectiveness and ideally remove the stain for good. Concrete oil stains may respond better to oil stain removers designed specifically for concrete if the stain is tough to remove with at-home ingredients.

Filling small cracks in your driveway with patching material is usually the most affordable fix, costing about $2 to $3 per square foot. For larger damage, however, these repairs won’t last, so it’ll save you more to resurface or replace the driveway, depending on the extent of the issues.

Regular maintenance will help you avoid costly repairs and early replacement. Clean the driveway surface with a stiff brush and water at least twice yearly, and remove any weeds that try to take root. Additionally, every two to five years, apply a sealcoat—this protects the driveway against damaging UV rays and keeps it looking like new.
