"A professional who keeps in regular contact with you to notify you of scheduling and other issues is hard to find. So I truly appreciated that Erik always kept me informed about when he was coming or if there was any change. He did an excellent job in removing several large maple trees from my yard one of which was very near the hwy and could have been disastrous if not done with care. He also includes cutting the wood into rounds and chipping all the branches which arenâ t included in other tree trimming services. Iâ m very pleased about every aspect of his service and will heartily recommend him to any friend in need of such services."

"Very friendly. Organized, arrived on time. Answered my questions and gave me the best quote in the area. They worked safely and removed 4 maples trees near the house. The job was done in one day and I am very pleased. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone who is a perfectionist and values good customer service, a fast response and job completion above and beyond expectation. He even cleaned up any wood chips and small branches left over from a recent storm. There was absolutely nothing I had to do. Thank you Mike!"

"They were quick to respond to my request on Angi and they did a fantastic job grinding a couple stumps for me. I felt their price was very reasonable and they went right to work as soon as I agreed to their estimate. They did exactly what the they said in the estimate which was exactly what I needed to have done. They did a quality job and I am very satisfied with their work. I will hire them again. Added bonus was that they were very nice to work with and they made it fun for my dogs. The whole experience was a joy."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Trees aren't big fans of moving, and they do go into shock during a transplant. Although most carefully thought-out tree transplants see the tree recover from the shock just fine, there is always a risk of having an unsuccessful move. Proper preparation, timing, and diligent aftercare are crucial to minimize the risks when transplanting a tree.

You will know that an oak tree needs to be removed when you see vertical cracks or dead branch stubs, which indicate internal decay. Other signs include trunk rot near the base of the tree and sprouts or small branches coming from the trunk.

Permits are often required for large tree removals, especially in urban areas or for protected species, ensuring regulation compliance and neighbor safety.

While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.
