"Sergio and the team installed my bathroom floor tile. They were very professional, diligent, and tidy. When they pulled up the old tile, they recognized the need to put down a primer sealer layer and did that, to make sure the new floor would not wobble. They did a quality job, were efficient and cleaned up completely after each day's work was done."

"I'm very satisfied with the work Sunshine Landscapes HV does. They're fast, efficient, and thoughtful about how they cut and trim our property (large front yard, narrow side yard, big backyard area and steep hill). But aside from cutting grass and doing monthly weed killing (such a huge help), it's the other parts of their service that has them truly shine for me. On the day you're scheduled in the routine calendar, they will show up. You get emailed an invoice and can easily pay on your phone. As needed, and especially during the start-up as a new customer, they are careful to call and ensure everything is going alright with service, even driving over to discuss a matter face to face if there's a misunderstanding. When the weather is going to be bad or if it hasn't rained for a while and the grass didn't grow much, they'll come back at a more reasonable time to not waste your money (or ruin your lawn, driving on wet soil). They have a reliable crew so when I plan to have company over on the weekend, I can be sure my lawn will be tailored on my scheduled day. Most other companies and workers can cut grass, too... but this company brings the value I was looking for, and, surprisingly, a bit more. I'm glad to trust Sunshine Landscapes HV. I was tired of feeling embarrassed about how unsightly the lawn was, but you allowed us to enjoy hosting backyard gatherings for three seasons. Thank you for the commitment to quality service."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

Lead removal services typically cost between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the extent of lead presence, the property size, and the complexity of the abatement process.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?
