"I’m so happy I went with Mil’s Painting and Construction. After dreading painting my bedroom again. Milton came to my home to give an estimate which I thought was more than reasonable. He and his team arrived on time, and they were meticulous with their work. My bedroom looks great and I couldn’t be happier with the completed job."

"Mike and his crew were craftsman and took time and pride in completing the job in one day. Wall and ceiling repair work is undetectable  and the painting was done with care. We are thrilled with the final outcome.
Mike is a craftsman as is his crew. He was on the job supervising all work and making sure we were happy with each phase.
They arrived on time and took great care to cover and protect furniture, floors, fixtures, etc. They cleaned up completely at the end of the job and reviewed all the work to ensure it was to our expectations.
Mike is a local contractor who obvioulsy takes pride in his work. We would recommend him without hesitation. We'd have to say that the finished job was beyond our expectations.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

If you prefer peel-and-stick to traditional wallpaper, you can skip the priming process. Many manufacturers don't require an additional primer if you’re installing peel-and-stick wallpaper to painted walls. However, if you’re applying peel-and-stick wallpaper to unfinished drywall, you’ll need to apply a primer first.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.

There can be too much of a good thing when it comes to accent walls, so avoid creating one in every room in your house. Some rooms, like bathrooms and kitchens, don’t naturally lend themselves to accent walls, so it’s best to skip them there. Of course, your home should reflect your own sense of style, so if accent walls in multiple rooms appeal to you, there’s no hard-and-fast rule forbidding it.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.
