"The work that Dave did was absolutely superb! He worked with us to come up with the best solution and even though we had an idea of what we wanted to do, he often made suggestions on other options which was helpful. His workmanship is impressive and obviously strives for perfection. We now have a plumber for life!"

"I am pleased with the work Tom did for me. He is very knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge. He was friendly and always professional. He came and worked when he said he would, had the correct parts and tools. I would recommend him to others, and will call him again if I need other plumbing work done. Ask him were the word " Plumber " originated....."

"This is the first time I've had someone do work at my home in 14 years (my husband does everything), and I've heard too many horror stories about contractors.  We just don't have the time anymore to do the work, and I really wanted to update my home.
Since I didn't need the tile flooring portion of the package, i worked with Caroline and Sal and added additional s/f of granite.  Since the dining room wall was so long, and the granite would be so heavy, Sal arranged for someone to come in and build the support while the granite was being installed.
The guys got here around 8:30AM and went right to work taking out the old countertops and sink.  When they left around 12:30 - 1PM, the buffet was built, all granite countertops and the new sink in and I couldn't be happier with the results.  My choice for the granite was Bianco Sardo and it is exactly what I wanted to brighten up my spaces.  My backsplash will be installed on Saturday, but I'm sure it will go just as smoothly.
From the first contact with Pacific Tile & Stones to the time the team left my house, it's been nothing but "no stress".  The house was left with no indication any work had even been done!
I have already recommended Sal and his business to others, just from the pure ease of dealing with everyone there.  They absolutely know what they are doing and it shows!

"I purchased the toilet and they installed it. They did an awesome job, even letting me know I needed additional work underneath to hold new toilet adequately (a new stainless flange was installed to the existing floor). They were right and showed me. I appreciate that. If a job is going to be done, it should be done right the first time. When everything was done, I was proud of how it looked. Wow! I should have had all new toilets installed."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Installation costs range from $150 to $400, depending on toilet type and labor.

You generally cannot replace a 10-inch rough-in toilet with a 12-inch model without making significant plumbing updates. A 12-inch rough-in toilet will not fit a 10-inch rough-in space because the floor drain is in the wrong position. To accommodate the larger toilet, you would need to move the drainpipe, which could cost between $0.75 and $30 per linear foot, plus labor. In most cases, it is more cost-effective and simpler to purchase a new 10-inch rough-in toilet. However, it is possible to install a 10-inch rough-in toilet in a 12-inch space by using a longer connector.

Yes, and no. Your shower, toilet, and sink all connect to the same main drain, but the secondary drains going from each fixture to the main drain are usually separate. This isn’t always the case—especially in older homes—but since toilets contain black water and showers, tubs, and sinks have grey water, toilets are more regulated and come at a greater risk of contamination. It’s best to keep these drains separate using individual waste collection for this reason.

Left unattended, a leaking toilet will eventually cause water damage or mold growth. If you’re a homeowner, you can file an insurance claim for water damage. However, that can be a long and tedious process; sometimes, your insurance company may not cover the damage. Therefore, it’s always best to fix any leak you notice right away if you can.

It is safe to flush the toilet even if the pipes are frozen, and this may even help clear out the pipes. But if the supply line is frozen, the toilet won’t refill itself until it’s thawed out. You can still flush by pouring water into the tank to refill it.
