Customers say: Terrific value

"Luis did a terrific job painting my house. While power washing he uncovered significant rot in some areas and ended up rebuilding significant portion of the porch. The extra charge to repair the rot was very reasonable and everything was executed perfectly. Highly recommended."

"We had cracks in the dyed mortar of the bricks above our garage. Grady took the time to match the color, even with the color having aged 10 years, and you would not even be able to tell that there was new mortar. If your project is anything like ours, you will not be disappointed."

"Milton and his crew beautifully restored our 96-year-old stucco home. Milton explained exactly what needed to be done and how the work would proceed. He was exactly spot on and the work was completed as he explained. His crew is friendly and professional, and they are extremely talented craftsmen. They took great care to protect the windows and the plantings around the house as they worked. They also handled the painting that needed to be done on the house trim. The cleanup at the end of the job was fantastic. We could not be happier with our new old home!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

It typically takes around 30 to 60 minutes for a window pro to replace one window in standard siding types, but a window in stucco will likely take a bit longer because of the density of materials. Custom architectural windows usually require a longer replacement process because of the additional fitting and securing required.

If contractors discover water damage, rot, or mold beneath the stucco, additional repairs will be necessary. These repairs can increase your total project cost and timeline, but addressing them promptly is essential for your home’s structural integrity. Ignoring hidden damage can lead to more severe issues and higher costs in the future.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

All of the components of stucco are non-combustible, so the siding material won’t ignite or spread fire to the interior of your home. However, it also expands and contracts with changes in temperature, so it will crack from long exposure to heat. Eventually, fire will spread through those cracks. Still, stucco is one of the best siding materials for fire protection and can keep you and your family safe for an hour, on average.

Repaired stucco requires regular inspections, cleaning to prevent mold or mildew build-up, and timely minor repairs to address hairline cracks. Applying protective sealants can also enhance longevity and maintain its appearance.
