"Gary and his crew were great. Prompt, neat, and fast in their installation. Windows were much cheaper than some of the other options we considered, such as Anderson. It ended up being about 1/3 of the cost of Anderson’s quote. Now while I would probably say that Anderson’s windows are a higher quality, I wouldn’t say the ones we got are of poor quality. Simply Anderson no longer does vinyl windows and now uses another composite material which they claim is better and this allows them to justify their ridiculously inflated costs. Hopefully it’s clear what I’m trying to say, I fully expect our windows to easily last 20 years or more, and regardless they have an excellent warranty should anything go wrong. The new windows are attractive, well made, and have already saved us a significant amount of money from reduced heating and cooling costs. We may want to replace the siding on our house in the future and should we decide to do that I will definitely be calling Good Fellows."

"Philip K. And Eddie R. Did a wonderful job replacing 6 of my windows. It was a big job and they worked hard all day with no complaints. Everything was very professional and the only thing they left behind was a beautiful new set of windows. I would highly recommend these two gentlemen to lead a window install project."

"This project dragged on for four months.   I first tried to get an estimate in August, and while the door was in place by the end of October, the final touches were not complete until December.
My first two appointments for an estimate were cancelled, and rescheduling was difficult.  FInally Jason himself dropped off a catalog, and said to call him with a couple of choices.   This was fine, although actually getting the estimates took longer than I would have expected.  We decided on the door and sidelights I wanted, and the installation took place a few weeks later.  Some interior molding was missing, and the installer said he'd be coming back to finish that up and do some interior caulking.  Right away I noticed the locks weren't functioning properly, and Jason came out the next day, and after a half-hour or so of trying to get them to function properly, he said they were no good, and he'd take then back to Home Depot to exchange them for good ones.  He had a rough time getting one of the locks out of the door, but after he did, he took them back to the store and returned with replacements.   He quickly installed them, and they are working fine.   As far as the molding goes, the missing pieces had to be ordered, and when they finally came, they were to wrong ones, so they needed to be re-ordered.   Finally the installer came back with the moldings, installed them, and did the caulking.
The door looks great and I am very happy with it.   However, throughout the process I had trouble reaching Jason and getting calls returned.  I felt that he was dragging his feet, and that this project was a low priority for them.  This is in marked contrast to earlier in the year when I had Xterior Solutions put vinyl siding on the house.  Communication and responsiveness was much better on that project.   That being said, the work done was excellent.   And Jason's primary installer, Ed, is a pleasure to work with.

"I had to speak to at least 5 different people in the prosses and communication between them wasn't always accurate. Their suppliers caused delays, in particular the glass door. First instaler was very good but had to wait a month for the doors. Not happy with door, they seem fragile and hang very loose. Expected much better for $10'000. Don't have a good idea what to expect because each process ie: sales, measuring, 'dispachers , instalers, is a different person and start over with questions."

"The first guy Chris who came out to measure was really through and came up with some creative solutions for a slightly tricky shower door opening. The two guys who did the install were equally awesome and did a great job! ! They were even so considerate and wore shoe covers while in the house. I would definitely recommend Tri County Glass!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The average mirror has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. After that, the coating begins to deteriorate, losing its reflective properties. Acrylic mirrors have a slightly shorter lifespan of seven to 10 years. Higher-quality acrylic sheets with UV-resistant properties have lifespans similar to those of your average mirror. By maintaining your mirrors and keeping them out of direct sunlight when not in use, you can extend their lifespan. Some mirrors can last for decades.

The cost to remove a mirrored wall from your home ranges between $100 and $3,300, though the average price is only $500. You can save money by doing it yourself, but make sure you have safety equipment such as goggles and gloves, as well as the proper tools (drywall knife, wire saw, and a plastic sheet or tarp to cover the floor).

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

Yes, you can use glass cleaner on outside windows, but only after you’ve rinsed away as much debris as possible. Using glass cleaner on top of a layer of dirt will only make it harder to clean.

You can clean the oven window the same way you clean the oven walls. Make a paste of baking soda and water and let it sit on the window overnight before wiping it off with a damp cloth. You might find it helpful to rub the baking soda paste in with an old toothbrush.
