"I'd say that 95% went well, the remaining 5% was not up to expectation. That 5% wouldn't stop me from recommending them, but I think they need to tighten that up with me and anyone else that hires them. The sales call went well, but turns out it could have been handled a little better. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised with was the honesty. We were hoping to have these in for a specific event, the salesman told me up front that he would not promise the installation by that date, even if it cost him the sale. I appreciated that. I also appreciated the advice. We originally called regarding retractable awnings, but based on the distance they could extend and the sun angle at the time of day we'd want to use the awnings, we wouldn't get effective shade coverage and it would have been a waste of money. The only disappointment was after the fact in that there were some options we would have taken advantage of, such as zippered, removable sides and such that would have been easier and cheaper to add in during the manufacturing process than after the fact when the awnings are already installed. They came quickly, did a great job with the framing, then we waited for the fabric to be manufactured, which they only start after the framing is installed so they have exact measurements. Unfortunately they were not able to get the awnings up for our event, but we knew that was possible, so I take nothing away from them for this. I was told they tried, but these were large awnings, and it was very clearly a long shot when we signed on. They came and installed the awnings. They look great. That's where the last 5% comes into play, though. I was discussing some of the details, and the installers mentioned they could add in zippers to give us a better view of the patio from the deck, and had some other ideas. I was also told this was brought up among themselves during the framing installation, but nobody spoke to us about these details. We don't know what's possible, and they had some good ideas we would like to have ben told of. I expressed that disappointment, especially because if we add those options now, they are more difficult onsite and more expensive to install. Had we known, or at least been given the choice, we would have appreciated that very much. The fabric installers were understanding and said they would ask someone from the office to call to discuss. We still haven't gotten that call. I can call them, and most likely will, but they set an expectation for the call after knowing I was a little disappointed. I would have liked them to follow through. So the short story is, the awnings look great, they could have handled the sales/options process better, and we didn't get the follow-up after the installation as promised."

They did most of the renovation in our condo......painting, installation of bathroom cabinets, sink, installed tile floor, etc. They also installed vinyl flooring in our kitchen, living and dining rooms. "As always, I am very hesitant when looking for the right contractor to do a job. I chose Awnings Unlimited because of the positive reviews. The shop?s location and the fact that they also do repairs was a deciding factor. It was a very good decision. I called and left a message on a Friday. Chris, the owner, returned my call the very next day. We set up an appointment for the week. He kept his appointment which, these days, is very important. He came, answered all my questions, measured and gave me a price. What I liked was that he didn?t try to get me to commit. He gave me the time and space I needed to make my decision. It was my first time ordering a fabric awning so I was a little nervous. The awning was for my front porch and I wanted it to cover my door and window. He even helped me in choosing the right color. The job was done in a week. It was definitely faster than I expected. The workers installed it in no time. They were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Even better, Chris showed up while the installation was being done. Another plus is that he supplies you with a diagram and picture of the proposed Awning. The picture of the proposed awning is superimposed over the image of your house. This gives you a chance to make any changes before the awning is constructed. I LOVE the end product. I love my Awning. The color is perfect. The workmanship and fit are perfect. The quality of the fabric is better than I anticipated. It is exactly what I wanted. I was so happy with it that I ordered a smaller one for over a side door."

"It all started out well after purchase of the initial Angie's list deal.  We promptly agreed on a date and a gentlemen came to measure and start the paperwork. Install date was set for 11/5/15. On 11/4, I was called about setting an install date.  My response was I already had one for the next day. Long story short, the company did not bother to tell me they had cancelled my appointment, they just acted like I never had one.  It was as though one side of the business did not know what the other side was doing. Since I made arrangements to be home on the 5th, I was not happy.  We finally settled on the 12th and the installation went smoothly enough.  However after completion, I noticed the installers had broken a piece of moulding in front of the patio door.  I know they realized they cracked it because they used clear caulk as a fix. I called the company and they said they would replace.  As of 11/30, the moulding still has not been replaced even though I was told the installer was picking up molding on 11/17.
I will say the person who came to measure and the lady who did the follow-up calling were professional. However, I can't say the same for the install side. The contact person was nice enough but he did not contact me to say the install was cancelled and to me it's taking way too long to replace the molding the installers broke.  I view it as a lack of integrity to cover up breaking the piece and not bothering to say anything to me.  The patio door is beautiful and I had planned to purchase a front door from them but have changed my mind.

"Tim and Shar did a great job redoing our living room. They were very need and covered everything. Repaired our sheetrock, painted everything. Installed new moldings and a beautiful laminate floor. I'm so happy. I would recommend them to anyone. Absolutely beautiful work!!"

"I highly recommend Roca Construction.  Mr. Roca showed up with his team ? on time and ready to work. 

He carefully sealed off the room from the rest of the house to minimize dust in my home and began demolition.  The thorough clean up after the demo by his crew was much appreciated.  Then the room was fully insulated.  They even uncovered a channel that went al the way up to the second floor between the walls that had never had insulation before. Mr. Roca suggested that they build in a box to contain the insulation and properly insulate the upper floor room.  This to an extra day and he did it at a fair and very small increase to the bill. I am sure that the savings to our gas bill will make up for the small increase in price. The new second floor certainly made the  second floor room much warmer immediately. They insulated the room they were renovating very thoroughly - cleverly reusing some of the insulation that had been there before. 

Then they framed in a new subfloor and replaced sheetrock where it needed replacing. They installed a new wooden floor ? thinking through how the longest pieces of wood should be used.  They also framed in a new ceiling replacing the ugly plywood fake beadboard with beautiful real beadboard - which comes in 2-board slats. It is a lot of work to install this material. Then the entire room was primed and painted.  Using window trim that we specially ordered from a lumber yard - milled to match the other trim in our house, they did a perfect job mitering the corners. They also, installed cove molding - which was constructed from three different cove molding pieces (complicated) as to match the historic cove molding. Then the  final painting was completed.

Mr. Roca is an excellent contractor. His team is professional, highly skilled, responsive, careful, and neat.  They are real perfectionist. The mitered corners were skillfully completed. The floor and ceiling beautiful and level, and the paint job was perfect.  The sidewalk and apron paving was also perfect ? so well done that five of our neighbors hired Roca to re-do their sidewalks too. Now we have a whole block of beautiful sidewalks. 
 
Mr. Roca's team are friendly and quiet. They cleaned up the job site each evening.  They have a good work ethic and show up on time. They did not rush the work and as a result  their work product was excellent too.  The job took about 3 weeks. 

We are very picky about renovations on our historic home. We have fired more than one contractor over the years. My husband is an amateur woodworker - he is very picky about work on the house. We were both delighted with the quality of Roca's work.  I recommend Roca Construction without any hesitation. We will definitely be hiring them again for future projects."
