Trees add beauty to the environment. However, they can also prove hazardous to your property and family. Overgrown and wild vegetation can cause a lot of inconvenience to the residents of the area. It can also damage the power lines and expose you to great danger. Therefore, it is imperative to get rid of unwanted trees for your safety and comfort. Clearview Tree Service is a leading tree services company, serving Northern New Jersey., with efficiency and expertise. We specialize in large, hazardous tree removals, tree pruning, and stump removal. We have been offering expert tree services to residential, commercial and municipal customers for over 11 years. We pride our commitment to the longevity, health and beauty of trees and the environment. Whether it is a difficult task like removal of a huge tree or a simple one like tree pruning, our trained staff has the required know-how to complete each task with precision. In our long professional journey, we have successfully achieved complete customer satisfaction with our dedication and knowledge.

"Quoted price seemed very reasonable. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Cutting of trees went well, but in the process limbs came down that broke a number of pickets on a vinyl fence. Workers were careless when dragging limbs to the front of the house, and ripped off several shingles, some breaking when they hit the ground. No one seemed to care. Then, when another guy showed up to grind the stumps, unbeknownst to me the huge pile of chips were left for me to get rid of. Had to pay someone else to remove the chips, and after they were gone, learned that the stumps were never totally ground down. In order to have the yard graded and plant seed, I have to have the stumps ground further. I spoke to Jesus and he said he would stop by and take a look. Never showed up and subsequent calls have gone unanswered. Best advice, Steer Clear of Clearview."

AmberTreeCare is a local owned small business that Was started in 2012 - we are licensed, insured and bonded in Putnam County, Westchester and Connecticut. Our goals are to preserve and/ or restore the healthy, beauty and structure of your trees by providing the proper pruning techniques that will promote their natural look. Reasons to Remove a Tree •Is it a desirable species? How healthy is the tree? Is the truck damaged? Is the Treehollow? Are there large dead branches? Or a lot of small dead branches? •Are all the branches on one side of the tree down? • are there sprouts coming from the base of the tree? • is there a truck rot or a large fungus growing at the base of the tree? (if this is a red oak - call first, you may be able to eat that.) • is the tree leaning? • how much space is available for the tree to grow? (Selective tree management) • what is the environment in which the tree grows? Pruning Mature Trees •Pruning is the most common tree maintenance procedure. Although forest trees grow quite well with only nature's pruning, landscape trees require a higher level of care to maintain their safety and aesthetics. Pruning should be done with an understanding of how the tree responds to each cut. Improper pruning can cause damage that will last for the life of the tree, or worse, shorten the tree's life. Reasons for Pruning •Because each cut has the potential to change the growth of the tree, no branch should be removed without a reason. Common reasons for pruning are to remove dead branches, to remove crowded or rubbing limbs, and to eliminate hazards. Trees may also be pruned to increase light and air penetration to the inside of the trees crown or to the landscape below. In most cases, mature trees are pruned as a corrective or preventive measure. When to Prune •Most routine pruning to remove weak, diseased, or dead limbs can be accomplished at any time during the year with little effect on the tree. As a rule, growth is maximized and wound closure is fastest if pruning takes place before the spring growth flush. Some trees, such as maples and birches, tend to "bleed" if pruned early in the spring. It may be unsightly, but it is of little consequence to the tree. A few tree diseases, such as oak wilt, can be spread when pruning wounds allow spores access into the tree. Susceptible trees should not be pruned during active transmission periods. Heavy pruning just after the spring growth flush should be avoided. At that time, trees have just expended a great deal of energy to produce foliage and early shoot growth. Removal of a large percentage of foliage at that time can stress the tree.

"Stuart and his crew did an excellent job taking down about 20 trees, at a very reasonable price. The weather conditions were challenging (snow, thaws, sloppy ground), but everything got done on schedule. Stuart is a great person to deal with, and he was accommodating in doing some tree work that had not been included in the original job description, at no additional charge. I recommend Amber Tree Care without reservation."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

No, you cannot plant a tree above a gas line. Tree roots grow and spread over time and can sometimes dent, crack, or penetrate a gas line. Those same roots may also cause accessibility problems for maintenance or repairs. You can generally plant vegetation with non-invasive root systems, low-growing vegetation, and flower beds near gas lines.

Before you cut down a dead palm tree, try to revive it using the methods listed above. However, there are instances when it makes sense to remove a dead palm tree, including:

  • The heavily infected tree will infect nearby trees, bushes, and plants.

  • The palm’s roots are overtaking your yard, foundation, and sidewalk and causing structural damage.

  • The tree is unstable and a hazard to your property, your neighbor’s property, and pedestrians.

There are two types of arborists: certified and consulting. A certified arborist is licensed and equipped to provide tree pruning, planting, fertilizing, monitoring, transplanting, treatment, and removal services. A consulting arborist specializes in tree appraisals, diagnosing problems and recommending treatments for illnesses. However, they will not provide these services themselves. Most consulting arborists are certified arborists who can refer you to a tree service that can administer the correct treatments.

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree. Of course, that can be a lot of fencing for larger trees, which is why our first step is about making difficult decisions on which trees to save.

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.
