"Charles and Sadie installed a post and net enclosure around our rooftop AC units. Initially it was 7â high. When we requested that it be reduced to 5â after seeing it, they readily agreed. They also installed a bird repellent wire on the roof peak and bird barriers at 3 roof alcoves. They are very professional in their work and very personable individuals. I recommend them and W B Pest Control!"

"Russ installed wire deterrent in a couple places on the roof and a cage to trap pigeons. He did this on Monday. By Thursday, the 3 Amigo's (birds that refused to leave previously) were gone from sight and making a mess around the house. That is a winner for me!"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

No, mothballs do not keep bats away. Not only are mothballs completely ineffective when repelling or removing bats, but using them could be illegal, depending on where you live. Remember, bats are federally protected, and it's illegal to use chemicals during the removal process, and mothballs tend to fall into this category.

Professional pest control services for birds and bats prevent property damage, preserve health standards by avoiding the buildup of droppings, and ensure humane removal and prevention techniques.

A treatment from a pest control service can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, depending on the type of treatment, what pest it’s treating, and what environment you live in. This is why pest control service companies often offer packages where they come out multiple times a year to apply treatment to the outside or inside of your home.

There are DIY methods and store-bought pesticides available for the public to use. However, these pesticides also come with a risk, and you need to follow the directions correctly and take precautionary measures to prevent exposure to these chemicals. These methods may be an option for small pest problems, but you should call in a pest control specialist for persistent pests and infestations.

Trees that provide a habitat to bats and an abundance of bugs—their main food source—will attract bats to your yard. Because the North American landscape has changed so much in recent years, bats have a harder time finding trees with cavities to shelter in. If your yard has a dead or dying tree with a lot of sun exposure, bats will likely be drawn to it because trees with those features are less common.
