As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

You can, in theory, tile your fireplace hearth with most tiles. However just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Then, it will take about four hours to prep the subfloor for tiles and another eight to 10 hours for a pro to install new tiles.
