"The service went very well.  I called and asked if a plumber could come and change our expansion tank off of our hot water heater and was told that the plumber would be there between 1 and 3.  About 15 minutes before 1, the plumber called and asked if he could come by.
The service at the house went well and he used buckets and towels to make sure he didn't spill water everywhere.  The water that did drip on our garage floor was cleaned up before he left.
They accept credit cards and are very professional, I'd use them again!

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Combine plumbing with evaporative cooler maintenance in early spring to prepare for the hot season efficiently. Opening thick adobe walls is disruptive, so complete any necessary electrical or HVAC upgrades simultaneously to minimize structural damage. Integrating a solar water heater or installing low-flow fixtures during pipe replacements qualifies your NM home for state-level water conservation programs. Schedule a septic inspection alongside any major drain work.

Helpful?

Schedule plumbing projects during cooler months to avoid extreme heat exposure when evaporative coolers are disabled. Keep children and pets away from excavated caliche soil to prevent exposure to fungal spores. Test for lead pipes in historic Truth Or Consequences homes before disturbing any lines. Store an adequate drinking water supply for your family and verify mixing valve settings to prevent burns from high-temperature geothermal water.

Helpful?

Expanding caliche soils in New Mexico cause foundation cracks that mimic plumbing leaks. During the spring, evaporative cooler overflow causes exterior water intrusion, which looks exactly like an indoor leak. Intense summer monsoon storms highlight roofing failures rather than pipe damage. If you notice a sulfur smell in older homes, contact a utility provider immediately to inspect aging gas lines rather than assuming you need plumbing repairs.

Helpful?

Plumbing in Truth Or Consequences intertwines with other household systems. Because evaporative coolers connect directly to your water supply, shutting off the water disables your cooling system. Disturbing older pipes dislodges hard water scale, clogging aerators and solar water heaters simultaneously. In older adobe homes, plumbing lines share wall spaces with electrical wiring. Plan ahead for water shutoffs to ensure your home stays comfortable during the project.

Helpful?

Extensive hard water scale inside older galvanized pipes requires scope expansion, extending timelines. Sourcing non-standard parts for older adobe homes necessitates return visits, as major supply centers sit far outside Truth Or Consequences. Scheduling municipal water shutoffs and local permit inspections adds mandatory waiting periods. Plan for multiple sessions when starting major plumbing work, as local professionals cover a wide geographic area across the county.
