"People have actually asked me where I got the slate!  Both the driveway and the backyard look brilliant.  They showed up when they said they would, did the job in a timely manner and were incredibly professional.  From now on whenever I have any jobs in my house that need concrete I will not hesitate to contact them.

"He came to house I game him arch. plans of bath and closet he came back with no drawings and no plans - said he had to take pictures.(for what??)  As I recall he took pictures the first time too. I finally called to get my original plans back.  He lives in Santa Fe and works often in Albuquerque.  I drove to Albuquerque and met him in the parking lot of UPS, about 35 miles from my home.and he gave me several computer generated drawings with only open rack shelves where i have cabinets with doors and open rack shelves for entire closet- no room for hanging clothes.  switched toilet and bidet so that door would be blocked by toilet.   He was very nice and the three areas of drywall repair look good.  I am expecting to use the $$ I paid via Angie promotional will cover the drywall."

Foundation Repair questions, answered by experts

For minor foundation maintenance in Ruidoso, keep soil moisture consistent around your home by watering during dry spells and redirecting runoff away from the foundation. Fill hairline cracks with high-altitude masonry sealant and monitor for changes. Watch for shifting doors or windows, which can signal deeper issues. Always stay alert for rapid weather changes and local wildlife when working outdoors.

Helpful?

In Ruidoso, combining foundation repair with drainage improvements, fire defensible landscaping, or insulation upgrades can maximize your investment and minimize disruption. Coordinating projects like installing French drains or regrading your yard enhances foundation stability and wildfire protection. It’s best to avoid pairing major repairs with cosmetic updates and to schedule work during Ruidoso’s milder weather for efficiency.

Helpful?

In Ruidoso, the longevity of foundation repair is shaped by the region’s high elevation, sandy-loam soils, and frequent freeze-thaw cycles. Success depends on using moisture-resistant materials, ensuring proper drainage to counteract monsoon rains, and accounting for wildfire mitigation. Choosing a contractor experienced with Ruidoso’s unique soil conditions and climate helps ensure your foundation repairs remain stable and effective for years.

Helpful?

In Ruidoso, inspect your foundation after snowmelt and heavy summer rains for new or widening cracks, water seepage, or musty odors. Uneven floors or doors that stick can indicate shifting due to local soil movement. If you notice persistent hairline cracks or any signs of wildfire damage, it’s wise to schedule a foundation inspection during the drier months for optimal results.

Helpful?

For foundation care in Ruidoso, keep a level, moisture meter, masonry trowel, wire brush, and caulk gun on hand. Stock up on hydraulic cement, exterior-grade caulk, and a high-altitude masonry sealer. Tools for removing pine needles and non-corrosive de-icing products are also helpful, as is extra pipe insulation to protect against Ruidoso’s temperature swings and wildfire risks.
