"Jason promptly responded to my inquiry. Called me to go over the details of my pool needs. Was able to set up an appointment within 48 hours. He assessed, pleasantly explained, and even willing to teach a bit on how the management of the pool should be handled. Hired him for maintenace for the whole summer so that we can enjoy the pool we worked so hard to have."

"I had a leaking gutter miter joint 25â off the ground, and they came out sealed the joint. They inspected all the other joints and leak points on the whole house and added sealant to 2 other joints they found an issue with. Sent me pictures of everything they fixed, which was a good feature since I couldnâ t get on the roof to see the problems. The price was reasonable to fix a problem that could cost thousands in deck and siding rot the future. One of the biggest lessons I have learned, is to drain & get the water away from your house, water is one of the most destructive things for a home. Called back quickly in about 30 mins, and scheduled a time for the repair & showed up on time. I recommend Rhino to anyone who needs a gutter install or repair."

"Following re-roofing of our two-story house and garage, we needed to get the house, balcony, garage and garden walls re-stuccoed. We obtained a number of quotes for the work and decided to go with Just Stucco and Windows based on the reviews and conversations with James, both in-person and by phone. The work required trenching the dirt at the base of all walls; removal of loose and spalling stucco; power washing of the stucco; preparation of the work areas with tarpaulin, paper and plastic (particularly important on our new roofs); application of El Rey WallEase cement base coat with imbedded fiber mesh over all walls and parapets followed by the application of the El Rey stucco finish coat. Cleanup and removal of all construction debris was also required. We did quite a lot of the preparatory work ourselves including removal of light fixtures and flagstones at the base of the walls at the front of the house. We are very demanding when it comes to the quality of work and professionalism of contractors; we expect them employ as much skill and care as they would on their own house. We were not disappointed. James and his crew are very experienced and the work was carried out in a timely fashion taking account of the weather conditions. There were one or two issues that required a change order for the installation of a Z-strip/stucco stop on the house roof but James was very responsive. We are very happy with the final product and would not hesitate to recommend Just Stucco and Windows to anyone."

"It is going extraordinarily well.  They are doing it in as painless a way as possible, even though pain is involved of course.  They are being very supportive and doing the work with the greatest of expedience.  Ramon Acosta has an extraordinary eye for design and great overall view.  I am very happy with their work and am delighted to have found them.  I know that both my kitchen and bathroom will look wonderful when they're done.

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

The ideal frequency for pressure washing depends on the surface being cleaned and your local environmental conditions. For a home's exterior with siding that is safe to wash (such as vinyl, cement, or aluminum), a full wash once or twice a year is a good guideline to remove accumulated dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. You may need to wash more frequently if you live in an area with heavy rain or snow, near a dirt road, or if you notice excessive buildup. Other surfaces have different schedules; for example, a frequently used driveway may need cleaning more often, while outdoor patio furniture might only need to be washed every few years. Use your discretion based on how dirty the area gets.

It is possible to wash your own roof, but we don’t recommend it. First, getting up on any roof is dangerous without proper safety equipment, especially if wetting a metal roof and making the surface slick. Additionally, it’s easy to damage your roof or force water between roof seams if you use a power washer, which can lead to property damage. Hiring a professional roof cleaner will save you time, keep you safe, and ensure that your roof looks new again without damaging it in the process. Plus, roof cleaning is a relatively affordable home improvement project.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends using an EPA-registered disinfectant product to disinfect a house properly. If such a product isn't handy, a strong bleach solution can disinfect high-touch surfaces. Before hiring a professional, be sure to discuss the type of chemicals and disinfectants they plan to use to ensure they’re safe for household use.

Yes, pressure washing a wood deck can be a good idea as it effectively lifts ingrained dirt, mold, and mildew, improving the deck's appearance and longevity. However, it must be done carefully, as it's easy to damage the wood, especially softwoods. To pressure wash safely, use a lower pressure setting and a wide, 40-degree fan pattern nozzle (often white). Keep the nozzle at least a foot away from the wood surface and maintain constant motion, avoiding hovering in one spot to prevent gouging.
