"Josh and his crew were very professional. I was especially impressed by the person that installed the new tile. He took extra care to make sure all the areas that needed patching were completed and didn't cut corners. I decided to replace my 3/4 hp pump with a new 1.5 hp. Josh installed the pump and replaced the valves. He spent extra time making sure there were no leaks and fixed a problem I had been having with the pump cutting off due to improper voltage regulation. This was a fairly extensive renovation to a pool I hadn't put a lot of upkeep into for the past 15 years. Josh made it look like a brand new pool. I kept in mind that this was during the very busy pool opening season and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. They did a fantastic job.

"

Had abrubt multiple cracks on garage slab. was not sure of cause. Employed  Steve because of his electrical engineering background.  Together with his Partner the process was methodical. Pressure testing was done from the main water line  as well as acoustical tactics .  It was determined that no leaks  were present. and no water lines running under slab.  Steve made recommendations  on  having  a new shut-off valve installed .  I appreciated  the critical thinking  in approach   Would hire Steve again and also make referrals to friends and family.

"Rather than fix the issue the first 2 calls, more refrigerant was pumped into the system. This cost me $75 for each call plus the cost of the refrigerant. The 3rd time, they fixed a valve and refilled the refrigerant and I am monitoring to see if this really fixed the problem. So I am out $225 for service calls fro the same problem and the cost of the refrigerant. I think they take this approach intentionally."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub.

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

Generally, it is more cost-effective and energy-efficient to leave your hot tub on all the time rather than turning it on and off. Reheating a hot tub from a cold temperature consumes a significant amount of energy, so maintaining a constant temperature is usually more economical, especially with frequent use.

For daily or weekly use, it's recommended to keep the water at a constant, reduced temperature, such as between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and then increase it to your desired temperature before getting in. If you know you won't be using the hot tub for an extended period, you can lower the temperature to save on energy costs. However, if you use it very infrequently, you can turn it off completely, as long as there is no risk of the water freezing.

Hot tubs don’t necessarily add value to a home—but they don’t take it away either. It depends on the potential buyer. A well-landscaped in-ground hot tub is attractive to buyers who prioritize relaxation and fun. Others would rather not deal with the maintenance.

If you don’t clean your hot tub filters, they’ll build up dirt and grime, preventing them from filtering out contaminants like dirt and bacteria. The dirty water will then circulate through the filter and back into the hot tub, leading to dirty water, a damaged pump and jets, and low heat. This can lead to higher hot tub costs because you may have to pay for repairs.

Yes, air baths are good for you. They promote relaxation, improve circulation, and can even hydrate your skin. Since they’re gentler than water jets and whirlpools, they are a good choice for a wide range of homes and users, from children to adults. You can maximize the benefits by using them regularly for stress relief and by pairing the bubble effects with calming music, low lighting or chronotherapy, aromatherapy, and other relaxation techniques.
