"The guys arrived a little early. They moved the heavy furniture for me and completely covered the work area with plastic. They reinstalled insulation and closed the hole with drywall. They taped and textured the repair area and matched the rest of the ceiling texture very well. They cleaned up the work area inside and outside the house. They did a very, very good job. I will definitely use them again "
"It was a shaky start with some unforeseen obstacles. However, after things settled down Bill got to work and met the deadline that I had originally set. The paint came out great. I needed 2 living rooms and a dining room painted, along with the ceilings in each room. They were able to complete everything in the timeframe given, even after my wife changed her mind on the one of the walls that had already been painted. I had movers coming the next day and Bill even offered to come back the day after the movers to fix any scuffs or scratches that occurred. If you are looking for a great finished paint job hire Bill."

"I had signed up for the ?$199 Roof Maintenance Package for Santa Fe County? and was very pleased with the outcome. My main area of concern had been a slow dripping from the ceiling area near the fireplace noticed after the recent snow falls. Kevin McPartlon?s many years of experience in roofing was what was needed--he fixed the several problem areas I had pointed out, as well as some other problem areas that needed attention. He provided an overall l assessment of the roof?s condition (which with my roof was very positive) and made some legitimate suggestions for future improvement. He showed me photos he had taken of the areas he had fixed, a canales , and an old TV mount. ( His trained eye found an old TV mount, flush to the roof, that would lead to a leak if not taken care of.) I look forward to having him back for for future work. "

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"
"When I made the appointment and during a followup call I emphasized that we had tall ceilings and a 10ft ladder would be required. The man that was sent showed up with a 6ft ladder and a old weather warn table that I be leave was unsafe. The worker was friendly and responsive but he was very slow, in part due to not having the right equipment and in part related to his taking cell phone calls on this hourly pay job. "
The average popcorn ceiling removal costs around $2,000, but prices can range from $950 to $3,100, depending on the size, accessibility, and whether or not there’s asbestos or lead paint.
We don’t recommend DIYing this project to save money, but you can DIY the prep work to speed things up. Consider removing furniture, ceiling lights, and other fixtures before the workers arrive on site. To be extra helpful, cover any remaining belongings with plastic tarps and secure them with tape.
Yes. Sagging ceilings often indicate more severe problems, such as structural damage, roof leaks, and pest infestations. As the sagging expands, your ceiling may eventually collapse, posing a threat to your physical safety and leading to expensive repair and restoration costs. That’s why you need to fix sagging ceilings as soon as you notice them.
Challenges include potential asbestos exposure, uneven finishes, or damage to the underlying ceiling if not done correctly.
It depends on the type of texture you’re adding but yes, you can often use a roller to texturize a ceiling. The roller needs to be able to hold enough medium to create some relief on the ceiling but not so much that gravity will pull it off before it dries. Using a roller with a nap between ½” and ¾” will allow the roller to hold enough material to do the trick.
Textured walls can increase the value of your homeif the style is modern and seen as a desirable feature and not something a prospective buyer would need to remedy. A good example of this is popcorn texture versus Venetian plaster. The plaster wall would add value to your home, whereas the popcorn texture may be something a new buyer would want to remove.
