"My second appointment with Geek Choice in March went well. The phone call from the office to determine what I wanted to accomplish at the visit is a great idea. I would say that here is where Geek Choice can look for complications. For example, someone who's used a computer at work and at home may still be unaware of some basic ideas. For example, if a device is to be added, does it need to be charged, does the person have the correct cable or battery, etc. Young people know this; older people do not necessarily. The representative was courteous, knowledgeable, patient, and offered additional tips. He arrived within the time frame specified. I will contact Geek Choice again. "
"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Yes, it’s usually more cost-effective to repair a cellphone than replace it entirely. Phone repair services can be costly, depending on the extent and type of damage, but you’ll almost always spend less on repair than on replacement. Plus, replacing the phone might not help if the problem lies with your service provider, such as issues like dropped calls or poor network connection. However, it’s worth repairing your phone for mid-level issues like a cracked screen, damaged headphone jack, or smashed charger port.
Most smartphone repair specialists can replace your phone screen in 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the model. The repair could take longer if components under the screen are also damaged and need to be replaced. If you attempt to do the work yourself using a phone screen repair kit, set aside one to two hours to learn the correct steps and implement them carefully.
A cellphone repair technician is the person that typically repairs phones, and there are specialties within that position, like a cellphone screen repair technician. In most cases, you can send your phone to your manufacturer for repair, but this option usually takes significantly longer and costs more than hiring a local cellphone repair specialist. If you choose a reputable repair technician, the repair will be more or less identical to what the manufacturer would provide.
Yes, you can usually put a screen protector over a cracked screen, especially if there aren’t pieces of glass missing. This method is a useful temporary solution to avoid cutting your fingers on your broken screen and to avoid further cracking or losing glass and exposing the inner components of your phone. However, a screen protector isn’t a permanent solution to a cracked screen. You should still take your phone to a professional phone repair technician to get the screen replaced for proper and safe functionality. This service should only cost you about $150, in most cases.
Many contractors and service providers offer warranties that cover the parts and labor for their repair work. You should always confirm the specific terms of the warranty before hiring.
