"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

In Las Vegas, solar screens are popular for reducing UV exposure and cooling costs, while retractable screens allow residents to enjoy mountain views and fresh air. Many homeowners choose earth-toned or custom-colored frames to match Southwestern architecture. Security screens and heavy-duty pet screens are gaining traction, especially in historic neighborhoods where both durability and style are important for maintaining property value.

Helpful?

Before starting screen repair in Las Vegas, plan projects for spring or fall to avoid extreme heat. Check if your property is in a historic district, as exterior changes may require approval. Order specialty materials early, since local supply can be limited. Monitor weather forecasts for high winds, and arrange for proper disposal of old screens through local waste collection services to keep your project on track.

Helpful?

For screen repair in Las Vegas, keep a spline roller, extra spline, UV-resistant mesh, and a sharp utility knife handy. A small flathead screwdriver is useful for prying old screens from wooden frames, which are common in older Las Vegas homes. Consider rust-preventive spray for metal frames and weather stripping for drafty windows, as these address the area’s dry climate and fluctuating temperatures.

Helpful?

Completing screen repair in Las Vegas provides immediate protection from the region’s frequent dust storms and seasonal pollen, which are common in the high desert climate. Over time, well-maintained window screens help preserve historic adobe or stucco exteriors, reduce HVAC strain by minimizing dust infiltration, and support better indoor air quality—especially valuable during windy spring months and the occasional summer monsoon.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Las Vegas should first inspect window screens on south- and west-facing sides, as these endure the strongest sun and wind. Prioritize repairing or replacing screen doors, especially if your home features a covered porch or patio—a common local amenity. If you have pets, consider adding a reinforced pet screen to prevent tears, as local wildlife and outdoor living are part of daily life.
