"Started with a Code 31 - pressure valve - ended with Paul discovering all the original contractor code and installation errors on a 5yr old furnace! We had to change out the too small 2” air intake / exhaust pipes. Paul had to work in an extremely confined space to replace the pipes with a 3” intake/exhaust pipe with minimum impact to finished ceiling and exterior walls. All work was in compliance with a City permit he obtained. In the process, he found the furnace circuit board had a factory “bulletin” that required replacement (covered by warranty). In the end, all work areas were repaired, painted, and cleaned up. He also discovered and repaired a poorly connected exhaust pipe on our tankless hot water heater that would have been a future problem. Paul and his crew did a fantastic job, worked long hours to meet our tight schedule, resolving many difficult complex problems along the way. "I have used Mr. Rooter several times over the past few years. Once, I tried to do something to a pipe under a sink that I really shouldn't have messed with, and I ended up with a gushing leak from the pipe. I ran around finding buckets and bowls to catch the water, towels to sop up all the water that ended up on the floor, and a phone book to find a plumber. I randomly picked Mr. Rooter because it had a big add that said they took emergency calls. I called, and was pretty upset, and a plumber was dispatched immediately. He called me while on the way to my house to see if he could help me to turn off the water, but I was pretty useless. He arrived quickly and stopped the gushing water quickly and fixed the whole problem quickly. I don't remember how much that cost, because I was just happy he came so fast. I have also used Mr. Rooter to purchase a new water heater and thermostat. The plumber was courteous, and as far as I can tell he did a good job, but there was some question about the accuracy of some information he provided about the water heater, which has been a problem. I can't comment on how good the price was, because I didn't comparison shop.
"It went extremely well. Kristen and Raul arrived promptly and started to work straight away. They assessed the job (range hood installation, electrical outlet and wireless security cameras installation. For each service many adjustments had to be made to my existing area. They tackled it head on and got it done. They were very respectable to me as their client and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend these young men for whatever the project might be. Once the project is complete they make certain that the area is clean. Most importantly, their rates are most reasonable. They're going to be my go to maintenance team."
"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
"We needed someone to install tile around the bathtub at an apartment unit we own. Joey at 2 Daughters Handyman came to the rescue. He quoted us a fair price based on what we could see. However, once he started the work other complications were discovered such as mold behind the existing wall. Joey and his crew were able to take care of each issue and charged us a fair amount for the extra work performed. We were very impressed with his willingness to get the job done in a timely manner. He even went to two or three places on his own to find the tile we wanted. We will definitely use 2 Daughters again and would recommend them to anyone needing his services.
"the job was completed by 2 men but the fence & gate are not lined up straight; more of a zigzag & gate did not close properly so I had to have someone else redo the gate closure. They did not use a plumb line; just eyeballed it... Luckily it's in my backyard so not many people see it.
