"Hoover’s was the ONLY one to get back to me and rather quickly. I decided to go ahead and use them. Aaron and Marcos were very professional and polite. Cleaned my HVAC ducts, exhaust vents, and my dryer vent (which was really dirty btw) in a timely manner and put everything back on when they were done. They cleaned up after themselves and even covered my stuff with plastic as they went. They took off their shoes as they came in and put down towels on the corners of furniture and the walls to avoid damaging them. Not sure if they were the cheapest option but they were the best option in my opinion. I’d definitely use them again. Thank you Marshall for answering me back and Aaron and Marcos for taking care of my vents."

" I'm giving them 2 stars to be fair because they sent a technician to my house the same day I requested the service. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. I received three different quotes ranging from $400 to $900, which I approved. However, the next morning, they called me with a new quote of $2,300. I did not approve this because another company did the same work for $900 in 2024. A few days later, they charged me over $900 for partial work that was done. Customer service promised to review the situation with a supervisor, but they never called me back after getting paid for work I didn?t authorize and that was incomplete. "

Absolutely! Cleaning the interior of your dryer is crucial to maintain its efficiency and safety. As time goes by, lint, debris, and residues from dryer sheets tend to build up inside the drum, on the lint trap, and around the heating elements. Regular cleaning of the inside of the dryer prevents these particles from blocking the system, ensuring smooth airflow, and reducing the risk of fire hazards.

If your dryer is wet inside, it could be due to a poorly designed ventilation system. This happens more frequently during the hotter months as heat is trapped inside the vent duct. Broken or failing seams and seals on the vent pipe can also allow warm air to enter. If changing the ventilation is not an option, consider insulating your vent pipes to reduce moisture capturing.

Using a leaf blower to clean your dryer vent isn't a good idea. Theoretically, the leaf blower should push the lint and debris toward the exterior vent opening, helping it exit. That's usually not what happens, though. 

Instead, the lint can get stuck further in the vent, creating a blockage and making the problem worse. You need a scrubbing tool, such as the rotating brush head on a dryer cleaning kit, to push the lint out of the ductwork.

You’ll find the backdraft damper near the top of the range hood (where it connects to the ductwork). However, some range hoods also have a second damper, which is located close to the roof or exterior wall where the ductwork ends. If you don’t see a damper in either of these places, you might not have one.

The frequency of cleaning your dryer depends on how often you use it. For regular households, it is recommended to clean the lint trap after each load of laundry. Additionally, thorough cleaning of the dryer—lint trap, drum, and exterior—should be done every few months. It's important to pay attention to the vent system as well. Ideally, it should be cleaned at least once a year, or six months if your dryer takes care of huge loads often, or more frequently if you notice reduced drying efficiency.
