"The service went very well.  I called and asked if a plumber could come and change our expansion tank off of our hot water heater and was told that the plumber would be there between 1 and 3.  About 15 minutes before 1, the plumber called and asked if he could come by.
The service at the house went well and he used buckets and towels to make sure he didn't spill water everywhere.  The water that did drip on our garage floor was cleaned up before he left.
They accept credit cards and are very professional, I'd use them again!

"Two whole sections of the wall had to be replaced. The base was laid to perfection and each block is continually checked for plumb once placed.  Leo makes sure everything is done correctly.  He periodically cleans his tools and the surrounding area. The wall is coming together beautifully!.  I'm confident  that wall will be here for many years.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Ignoring hard water scale buildup shortens the lifespan of your plumbing. Aztec has high-mineral water, making it essential to flush your water heater regularly. Leaving garden hoses attached past October causes interior pipes to freeze and split. Pouring harsh chemical cleaners down slow drains rapidly destroys older pipes. Prevent severe damage by winterizing your evaporative cooler lines before the freezing weather arrives.

Helpful?

Address active leaks, sewage odors, and water heater failures immediately. In Aztec, a small leak becomes a severe freeze hazard by November. Visible corrosion on galvanized pipes and failing pressure regulators demand urgent replacement. You can safely wait to schedule minor fixture upgrades or water softener installations. Plan proactive plumbing work for early fall, avoiding the busy winter emergency season entirely.

Helpful?

When starting plumbing projects in Aztec, you face a few hidden costs. Opening walls in mid-century homes often reveals corroded galvanized pipes or hidden freeze damage from cold winters. High-mineral water from the Animas River leaves severe scale buildup that requires extra remediation. Upgrading your system also means bringing older setups into compliance with the NM state plumbing code, and adding missing water pressure regulators.

Helpful?

Your home is an excellent candidate for plumbing upgrades if it was built before 1980. Older homes near downtown Aztec rely on aging galvanized steel supply lines that are past their functional lifespan. Visible white mineral staining on fixtures, low water pressure, and past burst pipes indicate severe vulnerability. Homes on aging San Juan County septic systems also require immediate drain line evaluations.

Helpful?

Completing plumbing upgrades before winter prevents burst pipes and restores daily water pressure. Fixing small leaks reduces your metered water bills immediately. In the long term, installing materials rated for high-mineral water extends the lifespan of your entire system. Proactive pipe replacement protects your foundation from slow leaks and ensures your home complies with NM water conservation policies, boosting your overall property value.
