"Overall, the stucco job was decent for a reasonable price. I also received a 4 ear warranty, when the rest of the bids we got offered only a two year warranty In the first year, we had a number of callbacks to fix minor defects. At times it could be trying to get someone to come and fix them, but eventually they came and repaired the defects we found at the time. There are still defects to fix. The bad news is that, as far as I can tell, this company is out of business. I called the owner's cell phone and the company phone, and both are no longer in service. The company web site is no longer available. NM Better Business Bureau's web site states that it believes that the company is no longer in business."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, gutter repair is almost always worth the investment. Some homeowners believe that gutter repairs are only to improve the home’s curb appeal, but gutters play a pivotal role in protecting your foundation from damage and structural instability, and they also prevent water damage to your soffits, fascia, roof, and exterior walls. You will pay an average of around $400 to have your gutters professionally repaired, but it’s worth it even for the peace of mind of knowing that one of your largest investments is adequately protected from the elements.

If your gutters get overwhelmed every time it rains, adding an extra downspout is a solution. First, you'll need to decide where to add the downspout. If your current setup only has a single downspout, one option is to place a new one at the opposite end of the gutter. If you already have a downspout at each end, adding a third one in the middle can help to lighten the load.

You can hire a professional to add a downspout yourself by cutting into the existing gutter and attaching the necessary parts, such as an outlet and brackets.

If you are experiencing minor issues with your gutters, such as a small leak or cracks in one or two sections, it makes more sense to repair the issue than to replace your entire gutter system. However, you may need to replace your gutters if they’re frequently detaching from your home or if you notice a buildup of mold or mildew in your basement.

Gutter repairs typically cost between $150 and $600. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the extent of the damage, the gutter material type, the accessibility of the damaged area, and the amount of labor required for the fix.

Yes, many homeowners find that seamless gutters are worth the investment. Although they have a higher upfront cost than standard gutters—an average of $2,700 compared to $2,000—their benefits often outweigh the price difference. Seamless gutters last longer, require less maintenance, and are less prone to clogs and leaks due to having fewer seams. In contrast, standard gutters typically have seams every 10 feet, which can leak and require new sealant every one to five years. Additionally, seamless gutters are considered more aesthetically pleasing, come in a variety of colors to match your home, and can improve your home's curb appeal and potential value.
