"I was apprehensive at first getting another contractor from here considering that I have had unpleasant experiences in the past. However, this experience could not have been better. Adam came out and gave me the walk through, the estimate and then my options. Price was so good that I signed right there. The crew came out last week and completed the job in a few hours. Their attention to detail and communication was excellent. They took extra care to see that my house and yard were cleaned up and well taken care of. They were very friendly and did an outstanding job. I can't be complementary enough. Anyone looking to get gutter work or replacements, look no further Gutter Nation is A+++ Thanks again for an amazing experience. Adam Ludlow"

"John came out to quote our project but ended up being able to fix the issue for us right on the spot, as well as resolve an additional minor issue, and give us some sound advice for the current condition of our roof. JV Roofing is excellent, and we would definitely hire them for any future roofing/gutter/exterior needs."

Gutter Repair and Replacement FAQs, answered by experts

If you don't want to install gutter guards, the most common and inexpensive alternative is regular gutter cleaning, either annually, biannually, or as soon as they start to fill up. Using a leaf blower attachment can make this process easier. Other products designed to reduce cleanings include gutter screens (made of wire mesh, nylon, or foam), which are typically less expensive than a full gutter guard installation. You can also find guards and inserts designed specifically to protect your downspouts or opt for a whole gutter system like LeafGuard, which integrates the gutter and guard into a single product.

Outside of regular maintenance, most gutter repairs are best left to the pros. Most gutter projects require basic ladder safety and (sometimes) getting on top of your roof. Without the proper equipment (or if you generally get a little nervous with heights), you could put yourself at risk of serious injury. On top of that, improperly repaired gutters could result in longer term damage that requires a full replacement.

Yes, many homeowners find that seamless gutters are worth the investment. Although they have a higher upfront cost than standard gutters—an average of $2,700 compared to $2,000—their benefits often outweigh the price difference. Seamless gutters last longer, require less maintenance, and are less prone to clogs and leaks due to having fewer seams. In contrast, standard gutters typically have seams every 10 feet, which can leak and require new sealant every one to five years. Additionally, seamless gutters are considered more aesthetically pleasing, come in a variety of colors to match your home, and can improve your home's curb appeal and potential value.

Yes, and repairing such damage is another repair that’s done often. Sagging gutters are usually the result of one of two things: damage or overload. For example, ice buildup over the winter due to clogged gutters can cause expansion, stretching the gutters. A falling tree limb or even a rogue baseball can cause gutters to sag. Sagging gutters can be repaired, but they are often replaced because it can take less time.

Most homes will sustain water damage without gutters. When a home doesn't have gutters, water that runs off the roof will splash down to the ground to create foundation damage, rotting trim, rotting fascia, and soil erosion. A broken or compromised gutter system can be just as damaging as having no gutters. That's why it's essential to talk to roofing pros about how to fix gutters pulling away from house as soon as you notice an issue.
