"I called Rick on Friday at 6:40am on a whim and he answered. He had a tech out to me by 11 am. I couldn’t believe it. The tech that came to me, was the most sincere and truthful person ever. Due to pandemic and heavy snow in Feb, he accommodated the entire estimate process with photos and FaceTime for an unconventional setup involving new sub panel in my garage 3. He was courteous in answering all my (some naive) questions about the estimate 4. His price is not the lowest, but he used industry grade NEMA 14-50 outlet not the cheap ones 5. He submitted the permit for me (so that we won't have any potential code issues if/when selling the house) 6. He followed up when the permit was approved 7. He showed on time, worked efficiently, and finished the installation within 3.5 hours (2 days later) 8. He did everything he said he would do and used all the materials he said he would use 9. The installation passed the inspection with flying color (inspector commented that "whoever did this did a neat job") 10. "Overall, this was an exceptional experience. Sam and Mike are the guys you want for your electrical (and general handyman) needs. After installing new flooring in my home, the installers accidentally severed the wiring to my front doorbell. One electrician on Angie's List quoted me $375 just to diagnose the problem. That's ludicrous. Sam reached out to me and offered me a more fair price. And I have to say, this was not an easy fix. Sam and Mike made multiple trips to my home diagnosing the problem, ultimately snaking new wiring, and making certain my Nest doorbell was connecting to the chime. I couldn't have had two better gentlemen in my home. They were exceptionally professional, friendly, and willing to make multiple trips to the local hardware store to pick up supplies on my behalf. The final invoice was fair for the amount of work they put into the job. Do not let other electricians bully you with insane diagnostic fees before they even begin the work."

I had clearly explained the scope—replacing 10-12 standard switches with smart switches giving model number/spec—and was hoping for a lump sum proposal, but they only offered hourly rates, which is understandable. They estimated it would take about 2 hours, but the job ended up taking over 4. While they mentioned having done similar installations before, they spent quite a bit of time reviewing instructions on site, which added to the time and cost. The final bill was over $800 for a couple switches, including a service fee and $10 for wire connector? (The switches come with connector) Just a heads-up to others: be sure to ask detailed questions about hourly charges and how time will be managed, especially for smart device installations."

"We replaced the original roof on our house. I expressed my concerns about re-installation of the lightening rods to my roofer. We have had at least three direct hits since they were originally installed in 2013. My roofer called William who was very helpful. William offered to come out an make sure everything was 100% after re-installation. He came the day after I called and I'm glad he did. While the reinstall was the best he had seen (his words) there were issues after 5 year and 3 strikes that needed addressed. He fixed those and now I have a new roof and I am certain the lightening rods will work as intended. Highly recommend this company."

Steve Reed responded right away, gave us an honest assessment of what our needs were, and had his team replace the panel as soon as they could. We had had a very high quote from a different company (not on Angie), and Mr. Reed gave a price that was much below that. Very nice people, very knowledgeable and responsive. They respected my home by putting down drop cloths and cleaned up after themselves to a very large extent. They repaired the walls with Sheetrock in the areas they cut Sheetrock out which was the deciding factor that made me choose Electric Power. Some companies do not repair walls after opening them up. The cost was a little lower compared to other quotes I received. Would certainly use them again. Jeff M."
