"Excellent service, dedicated professionals with high quality equipment. They had a busy agenda and still made time to come to our property to solve our need to remove two dead trees and trim other tree branches extending to our property for safety. Polite crew and they also cut some of the wood per our request showing their patience and customer friendly attitude. They arrived on time as scheduled with their machinery and transportation ready, cleaned up all debris. At every step they took precautions and ensure that there was no damage to the property while the work was being performed. We highly recommend Sami’s Landscape and Tree service to other clients."

Customers say: True professional

"Everything about hiring this team was “TOP DRAWER! Spoke by phone and owner/estimater came next day, gave good quotes with optionality for removing a large Ash tree, two smaller trees and cutting down 7 or 8 branches in various other trees by hand. Day after that 4 huge trucks with tons of equipment and a team of 5-6 guys (including two of the owners sons) showed up at 9:30am and worked their @sses off all day doing exactly what they promised, including stump grinding and protecting surrounding trees and hauling it all off. Near the end, a guy climbed three or four of my trees like a raccoon assisted by someone on the ground to rappel him etc. to trim limbs. I couldn’t be happier with this job and the whole experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I move to Port Murray in January. The property had several dying trees and a huge pile of rotting trees, stumps, and branches at the edge of the back yard. It was a terrible eyesore. I had 3 arborists make recommendations and submit a proposal."

"Don't be fooled by this firm's light-hearted name and logo. They are top-notch professionals who do great work. They removed 3 very large trees from our yard in a little more than one day, with very little disruption to the lawn, and left few signs that the trees were ever there. Their price beat all the other quotes by far. I've taken down several trees on my property over the years, using different service providers. You can do no better than these guys, and I will use them again."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

A palm tree's lifespan typically ranges from 40 to 100 years, though some species can live much longer. For example, certain types of Date Palm trees can live for over 200 years. The exact longevity of a palm tree is influenced by several factors, including its species, size, climate, and growing conditions. To maximize your palm's lifespan, provide proper care and maintenance, such as ensuring it gets enough sunlight, water, and nutrients, and protecting it from pests and diseases. For expert maintenance tips, consider consulting a professional arborist.

Bleach can potentially kill some types of delicate ornamental trees, but for the most part, it will only kill the foliage it comes in contact with. Applying bleach is not an effective method of killing a tree. A better option is to use an herbicide, which is a chemical compound designed to effectively kill a tree.

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.
