"Everything went extremely well. Alex was a pleasure to work with; he was efficient, neat and did a great job. When he was finished, he showed me the completed project and shared care instructions. We have used Sir Grout in the past to color seal our kitchen floor and will use again. A very reliable company that stands behind its work."

"Josie did an amazing job thoroughly cleaning our house! We really wanted someone who could clean all the hard to reach areas and get rid of all the excess dust since we had just remodeled. We've used other cleaning services in the past, but were unhappy with the amount of dust that still remained in the house. We were very impressed with how our house looked after using Josie and Team. The floors were very shiny, everything was clear of dust - even the walls had been scrubbed down. I needed another cleaning service a few months later to prepare for a family get-together, and Josie was available to help right away. I would definitely recommend them!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

If you’re looking for commercial cleaners, just check the label to find options that say they are safe for vinyl. Otherwise, homemade cleaners work great for vinyl plank flooring. Baking soda paste works well for spot-cleaning, and vinegar mixed with water is best for all-over cleaning. You can even clean your floors with plain water, which is great for everyday maintenance.

Sweep daily, use appropriate cleaners, and avoid abrasive tools to maintain the shine.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

While it is not recommended, you can mix Bon Ami with vinegar for a more powerful cleaning mixture. However, you should avoid mixing other types of powder cleaners, such as Comet and Ajax, with vinegar or with each other, as the reaction often creates a toxic gas that’s dangerous to the human body.

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.
