"Rich was very easy to work with and provided excellent service for the price paid. We had him clean off our gutters and power wash our back deck. Both looked great after completion. I will definitely keep RAP in mind for next year's spring cleaning."

"Great service, very professional and did a great job building a lovely front walk and patio that has transformed our house. They walked us through the process from start to finish, we felt very comfortable spending the money to fix our drainage issues and back patio as they took us around and were able to show us the great work that they had performed for other clients.
Would definitely use them again!

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.

Yes, many professionals use dustless or water-based blasting methods for reduced environmental impact.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.
