"Our experience with Landis painting was absolutely outstanding!  The owner, Steve was extremely helpful from the very first phone call when we were inquiring about his services to the last day when we saw the final results. He was extremely professional and was very responsive throughout the whole process. Steve was very thorough and detailed oriented from start to finish. He walked us through the whole process of what he recommended and what would take place. After coming to see our home, he provided an estimate and was also very helpful with paint suggestions. We felt 100% comfortable leaving our house in Steve's hands and were confident that his team would do an excellent job. We are extremely happy with the outcome and will be using Landis Painting services in the future for any painting that needs to be done. If you are looking for a true professional who is knowledgeable, personable and truly cares about their work and reputation then I HIGHLY recommend that you reach out to Steve at Landis Painting. You will NOT be disappointed.

"Mik, the owner of Milestone Restoration, was able to provide an estimate within an hour of my initial contact. The job commenced within five days and took the 3 days estimated, even when additional roof and parapet wall repairs were discovered once the wood deck was removed. Even with the unanticipated repairs, I was easily able to negotiate the extra cost at a reasonable price.
The work crew was diligent, courteous and clean. Debris was cleaned up after each work day. As in many Coops, tenant/owners can be demanding and inflexible when extensive work encumbering the property is needed. But I received no complaints about inconveniences. In fact, my Coop neighbors expressed appreciation for the efficiency and quality of the work.
I will definitely call on Milestone Restoration in the future. I will also add that I rated the quality as "good" instead of "excellent" because the efficacy of the repairs cannot be wholly determined until the roof and brick work have weathered through a few years. But I do not expect any problems. And I have guarantee from Milestone to repair at no cost any problems that may occur resulting from their work.
I am completely satisfied with the work.

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

The cost of sandblasting depends on the scope of the project, the surface type, labor, and equipment required. Services typically cost between $50 and $80 per hour, though most professionals charge by surface area at a rate of $1.50 to $7 per square foot. Total project costs can range from $700 to $12,500, with an average homeowner spending around $3,200 to sandblast a 1,000-square-foot surface.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

Because these two systems have different applications, there is no definitive answer to which is better. When working with sturdy materials, sandblasting is cheaper and faster, but more delicate projects require soda blasting. Before choosing either option, consider your specific needs, particularly your ultimate goal (cleaning, removing rust, prepping for painting, etc.), the material, and your budget.
