"Rich knew we needed it done before a home inspection later in week and came promptly to give us an estimate and then do the job quickly. He was very responsive, came when he said and did a good job. Would definitely recommend -
Used him last year to power wash our vinyl siding and had equally positive experience and would not hesitate to use again

"Tim was prompt, professional & listened to my questions and answered my questions patiently. His knowledge of materials and costs helped me get this project done well & in my spending plan too. My decks are now in great shape, look better than they have for some time, since Dominion’s very skilled crew replaced worn decking and stained the deck and railings. Our family can really enjoy this special part of our home for years to come now!"

"These guys are great. Great work, great pricing, super professional. Used then for a front porch and brick step repair, tiling around my pool and a chimney redo. I'd hire them again and recommend you do as well. GEORGE Flemington, NJ"

"Very Professional. Worked well with the building inspectors etc. They designed and built a dock, and a set of stairs to the side entrance of my house. They removed a cantilevered deck and replaced it with a large composite deck, which stopped water leaks into my basement. They also rebuilt and painted a small cantilevered deck. Excellent work."

"I hired Pro Line Construction to replace the porch columns in the front of my house. Tony arrived on a Friday to assess the work, he provided a fair estimate to complete the work and was able to replace my porch columns the next day. Tony did a very good job. I will definitely hire Pro Line Construction in the future for additional projects."

Carpentry FAQs, answered by experts

There are a few easy ways to locate a wall stud without a stud finder. First, try knocking on the wall with your knuckles. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.

Most of the time, you’ll want to use screws on your subfloor rather than nails. Nails can actually weaken plywood, whereas screws can easily penetrate without damage. They also form a more secure connection because of their shape, preventing squeaky floors and tightly holding the subfloor in place. That said, some contractors do prefer nails depending on the type of floor covering because they allow for more flexibility.

Installing a tongue-and-groove wall requires similar techniques to those associated with installing shiplap. However, because of the precision necessary to make each board fit perfectly and the increased material prices, the cost is higher than that of shiplap installations. Expect to spend between $2 and $6 more per square foot for tongue-and-groove walls versus shiplap ones.

You can enclose an open carport, however, there are several things to consider before opting to do so. You'll want to check local building codes and permit requirements before proceeding to make sure it’s legal. While you can sometimes stick-frame a carport enclosure, pre-fab kits are also available. Remember that you'll likely need to meet concrete slab regulations and provide lighting inside the structure. Both of which could substantially drive up costs.

A-frame homes are on the smaller side. While there’s no set square footage amount it has to be, it will usually come in around 1,000 square feet or smaller.
