Northern Touch Carpentry

Four 100' + oak trees were topped on my property on Lake Hopatcong, NJ, during the September 12, 2013, major storm that hit the Tri-State area. After 15 First Energy/JCP&L workers,  3 local electricians, 3 day laborers, and 4 tree men cleaned up the area, Northern Touch Carpentry came in (4 men) and within one work day had completely repaired the damage to my main house and outbuildings. This is the second time I have used Northern Touch Carpentry.

June 2014. Spoke with Jeff several times regarding carpentry work on my porch columns and posts, and about finishing up work from last year on the tool house. It is now August and he has not returned my calls.

Jeff Huckle showed up on time to give me an estimate. He knew I had a June 3rd deadline, but because of the rainy days, had to cancel a few times. However, he and a colleague showed up over Memorial Day Weekend to make sure the job got done, as promised, by my deadline. He worked quickly and cheerfully. He had to do some "punting" because, typically with old wooden buildings, you peel back one board only to find the next five are rotten, too. I thought his work was excellent and will have him back for two more projects in the fall. I am very glad he was listed on Angie's List. What initially made me call him was that he said his company worked on barns and old sheds. Reading that, I knew he would know he would encounter the unexpected the moment he popped the first board off! (Note my house is on a private island.)

Excellent. Jeff is very responsive. He did the repairs without running up the bill on unnecessary material. His workmanship is very good. Jeff is punctual and cleaned and removed the debris. Though it was a small job, I am confident he can perform much larger jobs with good results.
