"A & C Windows Roofing and Siding installed my roof and it has been a headache since the installation. There were problems with the installation and damage resulting from the installation. Chuck Miller came over to check out the problems/damage which he assured me he would fix. Nothing has been fixed. He recently didn't show up twice for appointments and didn't give me the courtesy of a phone call cancelling the appointments. Chuck Miller doesn't stand behind his work."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, triple-pane glass windows cost more than double or single-pane windows. You’ll eventually get that money back in energy savings. Depending on how much you pay for the installation, you could recoup your costs in 10 to 20 years. Triple-pane windows have extra layers of glass, which improve insulation and help save money in long-term heating and cooling costs.

Installing two windows typically takes 2-4 hours, depending on accessibility and preparation.

Impact windows can last between 10 and 40 years, depending on how much wear and tear they receive. This is roughly within the range for standard windows; standard windows tend to last between 15 and 50 years. You can extend your windows’ lifespans by performing regular maintenance on them and ensuring they are installed correctly.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

Yes, storm windows should be tempered. According to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, tempered glass is stronger and can withstand temperatures higher than laminated glass. Tempered glass is important for storm windows because it protects against outside elements and household accidents by not producing sharp, jagged pieces when it breaks or shatters.
