"Jeff and his crew are wonderful. They were all very efficient and meticulous , and nice! They were all a pleasure to have around. Jeff was able to accommodate our crazy work and childcare schedule, completing our whole house project within 2 weeks. We needed full 2 story home wallpaper removal, wall prep, and paint. Some of the walls needed patching or repairs, and he took care of those as well. I really appreciated him giving us a variable estimate, with a high amount that was the maximum of what it could be.. Because he was not sure the actual total time of repairs and prep. In the end, our total was a bit lower than we had prepared for. They use/provide Benjamin Moore paint. Wonderful. We absolutely recommend Jeff and this business."

"The Smart Choice Painting crew applied solid stain to my two decks in two colors: off-white ( 3 coats) and brown (2 coats). The crew was careful and worked continuously to complete the job in very warm weather. A third coat was necessary to for the light stain over a dark stain, a service provided at the original quoted price, which I considered quite reasonable. The owner of Smart Choice, Isaias Mejia, was very professional in our dealings both for this job and a similar stain application four years ago. The newly stained two-deck looks very good; both the contractor and I have taken many pictures. Smart Choice also power washed the siding on my house. They did an excellent job and were much neater and at a slightly lower cost than the previous contractor. Overall I have been very pleased with Smart Choice, Jim Stevenson"

"Jose and his team were excellent! The wallpaper in our home was difficult to remove, so I was concerned. Despite the challenges, the walls are now perfectly smooth and the paint looks amazing. When Jose saw a flaw in the ceiling spackle after the job was complete, even though the flaw was not visible during the day, he came back the next evening to correct the issue and had the area repainted. The team also respackled and repainted a wall to correct the shoddy work of a previous painter, and the wall now looks perfect. The work was done with the highest possible quality, better than any other painter we've hired. Jose and his team displayed true integrity and pride in their work. "I found Ray thru Home Advisor. Needed someone to remove the wallpaper in my son's bedroom and paint the entire room. Ray contacted me promptly to schedule a time for a free estimate. I was pleased with the estimate provided and hired him for the job. Following Christmas he removed all the wallpaper, prepped/fixed the walls, painted the entire room within 2 1/2 days. Ray is accommodating, personable, showed up on time each morning, cleaned up after working, removed the wallpaper with ease, and was meticulous in painting. I have more wallpaper to remove and painting to be accomplished in the spring...so we plan on doing more business with Ray in the near future."

"We were not pleased with the work of this company.  While the price is right, there were so many things that went wrong on the job that I'm not sure if I can remember all of them.
First of all, when I hire a painter, my assumption is that they will work on my job only until the project is complete.  This was not the case.  The painters left the job for days on end, being called to other locations.  The work was sloppy in numerous places - we had to keep calling them back to correct things.  I also had bedroom furniture damaged when the workers moved my end tables to another room - they didn't take the care necessary to protect them.  Walls under light covers/cable covers were not painted - they were left the original color of the rooms.  My bedroom wall has cracked in one place already - as they didn't do the repair needed in that area evidently to prevent that from happening.  Paint has chipped in other areas - something which should not happen so soon after completion.
At exterior painting they also didn't take care to protect elements of the home properly.  I had paint spatter covering newly installed railings at my front walkway, stains applied incorrectly on wood lattice which they installed (numerous empty areas - should have used a spray gun for that or painted it before installation), totally ruined my exterior balcony door with using too thick a layer of paint on it.  There were paint brush hairs all over the door as well, paint on screens (why they weren't removed or covered is beyond me), spattered paint on a custom mailbox, and the same on our house number plaque.  
There is more, but I'll just leave it at it was an extremely sloppy job which took literally WEEKS to complete and I was told it would take less than 1 week.  
While there were some circumstances that made the job take longer (some weather related and some of his workers having personal problems), the amount of errors exceeded what would be considered excusable.
The only good thing I can say is that from far away, the house looks ok and, the owner Phil (others mention a different name, not sure why) tried to be as pleasant as possible throughout this.

"Steve and his team were punctual, professional and highly meticulous. Every wall and ceiling was prepped, sanded and patched, with the utmost care, before painting. There was a sand-based faux finish throughout the house that we wanted removed. We had consulted with several other painters before selecting Landis Painting, and the others did not know how to handle the faux finish or said it would be time consuming and very expensive to remove. Steve and the team handled it very well, using a special sanding machine that captures the dust so no tarping is required. Steve consulted knowlegeably on other painting issues too, and investigated best products for the specific job at hand (painting fireplace stone and exterior brick). Steve cares about the long term durability of his paint job and wants you to get value for what you pay. He is highly communicative and consultative throughout his team’s time at your home. I would use Landis painting again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them. Full five stars for Steve, Selso and Wilson!!!"

"It was a difficult project requiring the removal of current siding, then significant patching, sanding and carpentry to prepare the original clapboard for paint. The crew was very hard working and super creative when it came to solving problems. They showed up on time every day and finished the project according to schedule. The price was very reasonable and no surprise charges. We are very pleased with AAA and would highly recommend them."
