"I found Ray thru Home Advisor. I needed someone to remove wallpaper in the dining room and kitchen, and to paint those rooms and the living room. Rayâ s estimate was reasonable, and he explained in detail the methods and materials he would use to do the work. He was accommodating, personable, and punctual. He did a very thorough and professional job, and cleaned up the work area completely each day. I plan to have him do more work for me in the near future."

"We were not pleased with the work of this company.  While the price is right, there were so many things that went wrong on the job that I'm not sure if I can remember all of them.
First of all, when I hire a painter, my assumption is that they will work on my job only until the project is complete.  This was not the case.  The painters left the job for days on end, being called to other locations.  The work was sloppy in numerous places - we had to keep calling them back to correct things.  I also had bedroom furniture damaged when the workers moved my end tables to another room - they didn't take the care necessary to protect them.  Walls under light covers/cable covers were not painted - they were left the original color of the rooms.  My bedroom wall has cracked in one place already - as they didn't do the repair needed in that area evidently to prevent that from happening.  Paint has chipped in other areas - something which should not happen so soon after completion.
At exterior painting they also didn't take care to protect elements of the home properly.  I had paint spatter covering newly installed railings at my front walkway, stains applied incorrectly on wood lattice which they installed (numerous empty areas - should have used a spray gun for that or painted it before installation), totally ruined my exterior balcony door with using too thick a layer of paint on it.  There were paint brush hairs all over the door as well, paint on screens (why they weren't removed or covered is beyond me), spattered paint on a custom mailbox, and the same on our house number plaque.  
There is more, but I'll just leave it at it was an extremely sloppy job which took literally WEEKS to complete and I was told it would take less than 1 week.  
While there were some circumstances that made the job take longer (some weather related and some of his workers having personal problems), the amount of errors exceeded what would be considered excusable.
The only good thing I can say is that from far away, the house looks ok and, the owner Phil (others mention a different name, not sure why) tried to be as pleasant as possible throughout this.

"It was a difficult project requiring the removal of current siding, then significant patching, sanding and carpentry to prepare the original clapboard for paint. The crew was very hard working and super creative when it came to solving problems. They showed up on time every day and finished the project according to schedule. "John and his crew did a wonderful job painting the exterior of my home. We also had the deck redone as well. We had a lot of peeling paint on our house as well as a ton of mildew growing on the north side of our home. They used a professional solution to kill the mildew and assured me the chemicals would not harm any vegetation. Which it did not. They started by power washing my home to remove surface dirt and grime. They did the nessesary prep work and gave our home one coat of primer and two coats of paint. Outstanding Results! Our deck was sun beaten and worn. Had a few loose boards and popped nails. Being the handy team they have come to prove to be they had no problems fixing and repairing all my request. John being very knowledgeable recommended we use a solid color stain to help hide the weather beaten imperfections. GREAT ADVICE! I would have never thought of it. The deck almost looks new. And with the repairs it's blends the new wood with old quit nicely. Getting to know John the days him and his crew spent working on my home I asked him to give me quote on changing the wall paper in my home office. He explained to me the downfalls of wallpaper removal. And how it all depends on the person who installed the paper. If it was properly done it would not effect the estimate given. But if the wallpaper was NOT installed properly a reassessment of the job would have to be discussed. Turns out it was NOT installed properly and was actually damaging the walls upon removal. John being professional that he is assured me he would keep the cost as low as possible. In which he did. Instead of replacing the sheet rock. They skim coated the walls sanded them to perfection and painted them perfectly. SO GLAD I FOUND THESE GUYS!!!"
