"We had an excellent experience with this electrician at our 120,000 sq ft office building. He came out to perform repairs and upgrades on our electrical systems and delivered truly professional, high‑quality workmanship from start to finish. His knowledge, attention to detail, and clear communication made the entire process smooth and efficient. It’s not easy finding someone who can handle large‑scale commercial electrical work with this level of skill and reliability. He showed up on time, worked safely, and made sure everything was done correctly the first time. I highly recommend him for any commercial or residential electrical needs. Outstanding service and professionalism"

"Lawrence was extremely responsive. He came the same day that I called him to take a look at the partial power issue in my building. We ended up having to get PSEG involved before we could resolve anything. He came back a 2nd time to meet PSEG the following week. The partial power issue apparently resolved itself that same day that he was present, no actual repair was done. The next day the partial power issue resurfaced. I called Lawrence to see if he had any suggestions, which I executed, but it did not turn the power back on. It was possible that the nor'easter had caused the issue, so I called PSEG to come out again. PSEG confirmed power was running to the building. In the end, I hired a different electrician who figured out the problem was the main which needed to be replaced. Lawrence did give me a reasonable estimate for a different job in the same building. I appreciated the fact that he came the same day I called him, and that he came back several days later to meet with the electric company. I did pay him for coming out both days, but I was a little disappointed that the issue was never resolved."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Manville, if you notice flickering lights, frequent breaker trips, warm outlets, or burning odors, these are strong indicators of electrical issues needing attention. If only one appliance or system is affected, check that specific unit first. For outages affecting your entire block, contact your utility provider. Local professionals can help diagnose whether the issue is electrical or related to another system in your home.

Helpful?

Begin by confirming if your project requires a permit in Manville and arrange inspections early, as local schedules can fill quickly. Coordinate with your utility provider if power needs to be temporarily disconnected. Choose a contractor familiar with Manville’s specific codes and plan for possible weather delays, especially during winter. Organize your project timeline to minimize disruption and ensure all materials are on hand before work begins.

Helpful?

Signs in Manville that electrical work may need updating include missing permits, visible code violations, or outdated materials like knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring, which are common in older homes. Look for mismatched outlets, improper junction boxes, or evidence of DIY repairs. Homes with older electrical panels or insufficient amperage may also require upgrades to meet current NJ safety standards and support modern appliances.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Manville can increase your home’s value and attract buyers, especially if you add features like 200-amp panels, GFCI/AFCI protection, or smart home upgrades. Modern electrical systems are expected in Manville’s competitive market, and improvements may help lower insurance premiums. With newer developments nearby, updated electrical work helps your home stand out and appeals to safety-conscious buyers.

Helpful?

For safer electrical projects in Manville, use tamper-resistant outlets in all living areas and install GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces as required. Secure loose or exposed wiring, especially in basements common to older Manville homes, and use cord covers to prevent chewing or tripping. Consider adding motion-sensor lights in stairways and ensure all outlets near floors are childproofed for extra peace of mind.
