"The original project turned into an emergency project because of a storm that brought down two huge trees. Sage handled the removal of the debris of the fallen limbs and removed the trees. We were impressed with the crew. We will be contacting them for the original project in the near future. They left a very good impression."

"The job was to sheet rock/spackle the hole in my ceiling from skylight removal and then paint the room. Angelo came in at 2/3 the price from the other quotes I received. Kirby did a great job on spackling - the ceiling looks brand new. He also patched some cracks in the walls. The paint job was great and the room was spotless when they left."

"Worked with Alex to have a basketball pole removed and a playset. He and his crew did an excellent job with great communication via text. The removed everything including a 700 pound chunk of cement (which required a jack hammer) and they cleaned up perfectly. Will definitely use them again if I need anything big removed."

Small jobs welcome

"The team confirmed the day before, advised when they were 10 minutes away & arrived 10 minutes earlier. They came prepared with tools, professional, cleaned up. This is what truly impressed me, they removed a three sectional wall unit. The majority of it was glass, including the glass shelves, not one piece of glass broken from the time they took it apart from the time that we removed it from the apartment kudos!!!! Single women will feel comfortable with strangers in home. I’m recommending to my circle & they are in my rolodex for future furniture removal."

"I would recommend Evergreen & Sons Landscaping--WITHOUT HESITATION! My parents built their home in 1972. After we moved in, it took a number of subsequent years to get the property landscaped to their liking. Over the more recent years, super-storms, microbursts, nor'easters and old age wreaked havoc on this once elegant natural scape. However, in a few short days, Omar and crew completely transformed the front yard to its former glory! I did not have the opportunity to watch the progress from start-to-finish, so when I drove up and saw the final result, it brought tears to my eyes. I really got the impression that Omar was doing the work as though it was his mother's home. I suspect he puts his heart and soul into every property he cares for. THANK YOU!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible

Follow recommendations for removal or remediation to ensure a safe living environment.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
