"We are extremely satisfied with the whole process of our house being insulated. First we had the walls done, and then a couple weeks later we had our attic insulated. The crew were so nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We are very satisfied with everything. Thank you, everyone."
"Joe and jason were very professional and made sure to clean everything perfectly while doing my attic insulation, I will be recommending them to everyone!"
"Michael was delightful. He came on time and did a thorough estimate.. He and his team removed old, falling insulation from our crawlspace, replaced it, and replaced a tattered vapor barrier. On time, at price."

"I'd give more than 5 stars if I could! Fantastic family run company! Angel and his Dad are not only friendly, but also trustworthy, reliable and clean when working. Their work is meticulous and communication excellent. Admittedly, I was uneasy at first about hiring a company I found online, but I'm sure glad I found them! I now have a contractor whose phone number is worth keeping! Reasonable prices and excellent work. Take my word for it and DON'T HESITATE!"
"I found Score Construction on Home Advisor's website. I was looking for a contractor and needless to say I read reviews for many of the construction firms. Every review I read was terrific for Score Construction and because of that I called, met Janusz Z who is the Owner and was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. I started with 2 bathrooms that were necessary to do because of water damage. I was thrilled with the work done, the care of how it was done by the workers that were both professional and respectful. A year later a major renovation for my apartment was considered and I called Score Construction. Not only did the renovation to my apartment turn out fabulous and I'm happy every day that I wake up and see how beautiful it is, but they also did major work to the outside of our building - replacing the cornice, roof repair, pointing of bricks, structurally reinforcing all 16 windows which was no easy task for a 100 year old building, but they got it done. ALL this work again was done professionally and with the utmost of care and the knowledge of how to get the job done is their forte'. Every experience that I have had with Score Construction workers and owner, Janusz Z has been top notch. I recommend Score Construction HIGHLY. You will be extremely happy that you did so."
"Did a terrific job removing old plywood covering original batt and hauling away both the wood and old insulation. I believe there were several spots where new form insulation was not at the 4 depth. Sales representative never called me back when I called and left message regarding this."
"Kevin came out to give me a free estimate and a week later he and David were here insulating the attic and basement crawl space. They arrived on time and work was completed in half a day. Kevin spent a long time with me discussing all options and was able to give me a natural/non toxic environment for my family. Professional, quality work, and fair pricing. We are now enjoying the warmth in our home and never had to leave. Because of his quality craftsmanship and guarantee, Kevin will return next week for more insulating projects!"
"I was dreading this work being done due to the anticipated mess since we had a drywall removed to have insulation blown into our attic. The process went fairly quickly. We also had drywall that was cut in our walls to have old insulation removed and new to be blown in. The crew did a lovely job of making the cuts so getting our drywall fixed afterwards was much more simple. All said and done, it wasn't nearly as unpleasant as I had feared. Highly recommend AGL Spray Foam."
"They did a great job and didn't break the bank. Had all the old insulation removed and replaced with new. The floor and walls got covered in plastic covering. The cracks and areas where rodents could get in got taken care of also. The crew did a good job cleaning up. Very pleased with results."
Several types of insulation are effective for crawl spaces, with spray foam and rigid foam boards being two of the best options. Closed-cell spray foam insulation is a strong choice because it effectively repels moisture, resists biological growth, seals the air, and provides excellent thermal protection, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Rigid foam insulation boards are another excellent material as they insulate well, resist water damage, and will not settle over time like fiberglass or cellulose.
Selling a house with spray foam insulation can be challenging due to concerns about improper installation or its compatibility with the home's structure. If not applied correctly, spray foam can cause issues such as moisture buildup, cracking, or damage to wiring and plumbing. If the insulation didn't cure correctly, there are also flammability concerns. Removing or repairing this type of insulation can pose risks as well.
Rigid foam board insulation is one of the safest insulation materials for basement walls. The panels offer a moisture barrier to prevent mold and mildew build-up. At the same time, this material is also fire-resistant, so you don’t have to worry as much about a fire breaking out as you would with spray foam insulation.
Pipes in your house can freeze after six hours or so if you lose power and temperatures are below freezing. You can prepare for potential power outages by winterizing your pipes with insulation. Also, whenever temperatures drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, turn your faucets on very low and leave them dripping until temperatures rise.
Your home's location, budget, and the type of insulation you’re using are just a few of the factors that can help you choose the right insulation. For example, blown-in insulation is typically used in attic spaces, while batts and rolls are ideal for floors and walls. Blown-in insulation is usually a good option if you're adding more insulation to an area that already has some, but not enough.
