"Great Work! Hello. I had a French Drain installed. Water was literally sitting in my walls. The Team came over On Time. They covered spaces to keep dust from accumulating on my personal items and worked diligently to get the job done. The clean up was magnificent. With this kind of work there are rocks, dirt and concrete coming and going. You would never know they were there upon completion. I had mold that had been treated prior to this work and Mike, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure that it was taken care of. Lastly and most importantly, it's been raining for the past week and a half and I see no watery walls. I hear the new sump pump they installed doing its work. I'm very pleased with my new French Drain. Highly recommend. Thank you Mike and your Team!"

"Joe (mr fix-it) has worked on several of my electrical projects. This time he trenched 125ft. to install the wiring required. It was a 2 day project which he finished without any problems. Joe is very personable and listens to the customer's needs. He gave me the confidence that no job was too difficult for him to tackle. Also, MR Fix-it has plumbing services which I have used and approved."

"Dave was awesome. We had a suspected gas leak at our home, called NJNG and they shut gas off. Found Express Plumbing on this site, saw the good reviews and gave him a call. He was very courteous, friendly and professional. We called him at 9 pm on a Monday and luckily he was available for us the next day. He arrived on time and thankfully it was not a leak, just a corroded pipe. In and out out in 2 hours and the cost was very reasonable. I would absolutely hire him again!"

"I asked for a plumber recommendation on another website and receive many responses for About Garon T Plumbing & Heating. I called them that day and made an appointment for the following morning. They were prompt with calls and on time with the appointment. Mike M was knowledgeable with everything we required, and was able to make the changes we needed quickly. The price was good for the time spent and parts installed. Highly recommend by us for anyone looking for a plumber."

Drain Pipe Installation FAQs, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to clean your linear drain every two to three months to prevent debris buildup. However, if you notice it draining slowly or an odor from your drainpipes, it’s best to clear the clogged drain and maintain it more often. If you let a clog go for too long, you may have to invest in the price of professional shower drain cleaning, which costs about $225.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.

The drain pump will naturally make a standard operational and draining sound several times throughout your dishwasher cycle. If you hear abnormally loud sounds like scraping, grinding, or clicking, you may have food debris or a piece of glass stuck in your drain filter. Avoid dishwasher repair by always scraping food off your dishes and loading the racks correctly.

You can try several easy methods to unclog a drain, one of the easiest and most effective of which is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This will help dislodge and dissolve the clog to move it down the drain pipes. Pour 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Dump several cups of boiling water (or hot water if you have PVC pipes) into the drain and let sit for up to one hour. Run hot water to clear the drain.
