"Great experience with Rene' Advanced Drywall. Got what I felt was a fair price for the drywall repairs I needed done. Rene came by and made the repairs in an hour! The job was handled very professionally and Rene was a pleasure to work with. I'm very satisfied with the results, and there is no doubt in my mind about recommending him to others or calling him again for another job. Thank you!""

"Vlad gave me a very reasonable estimate for a project to repair plaster, install drywall, and paint the walls around my house.. His team was always on time and did a great job of keeping the house clean while they were working and cleanup afterwards. I hope to use them again soon for additional projects in the future."

"Anthony Nastasi, hired by me to rebuild our decaying bay window, did a terrific job. When he came out to survey our prospective job, he listened closely to what we wanted, took notes, did measurements, and made suggestions. Later that day he sent my a proposal, detailing the materials and total cost of the project. Ultimately, the final cost was only about $300 more as additional material was needed. Mr. Nastasi worked a full day each day he was here. He also was honest and direct - he told me when he would arrive in morning, and he did. He told me when he had to complete another job so he might have to leave early or miss a day. Many Subs aren't professional enough to simply tell the truth. He always did. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work he did, the time frame in which he completed the job and, most importantly, how it looks. I would unequivocally recommend Anthony Nastasi to anyone. "We needed to remove old Popcorn Ceilings from our entire house. We also needed to remove wallpaper and paint one room. We got a few estimates from different businesses. â On The Job Paintingâ sâ price was on the medium to lower end but most of all, we were impressed with the owner, Keith. He responded to us right away and gave us an estimate. He seemed very informative and trustworthy. We decided to go with â On The Job Paintingâ and we couldnâ t be happier. The crew was on time and prepared everything really well. They cleaned up everyday and worked with us about what rooms to do to make our lives easier while we were still living in the house during this process. My wife and I would highly recommend this business to anyone. I would not hesitate to hire them again for my next project."

"We hired Heartland Village General Contracting and Handyman Services to execute a full, top-to-bottom renovation of our bathroom at the beginning of March of 2026. This was a major project involving demolition , new flooring, updated electrical and plumbing to accommodate a new layout of the bathroom. The company manager/owner, Harvey, was excellent. He provided a detailed project schedule before work began and proactively communicated every step of the way. The quality of the final product exceeded our expectations. Harvey's attention to detail truly made the difference."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, drywall nail pops are a common occurrence in homes, both new and old, resulting from the settling and shifting of the structure over time. Though not present in every room or on every wall, encountering nail pops in different sections of a home is not unusual, particularly if the temperature, humidity, or foundation has experienced changes.

When sanding drywall mud, you’re going to create a very fine dust that may contain silica. Silica dust contains crystalline silica, which can cause long-term illnesses for people who inhale it in significant quantities. Wear a mask while sanding drywall. Then dampen a drywall sponge to wipe the dust off the drywall, helping to reduce the amount of dust that may become airborne.

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.

It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.
