"I would highly recommend A&B. I have a iron gate which due to some rust and age, 2 of the hinges came off. Boris was nice and courteous when scheduling an appointment. When he came to repair the gate it was done pretty quick. On top of that he fixed my front gate which needed very minor repair and was kind enough not to charge me extra for it. I will definitely use this company again if needed"

"It was awful. Thy sent me a guy who said he'd take care of the job in four days it took seven. I can't go into all the details but it was overpriced and not worth it. I could have done the work myself quicker and cheaper. I will say that once they realized they sent someone awful they responded well and gave me a discount.

"We had Russell came in for a job, where he had to a track training for the MTA and complete 30 hours OSHA training. He did it all done in a week; he completely fixed all of the welding and he did a fantastic job.Everyone on the project had nothing but good things to say about him, he is a very good team player!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Yes, but you’ll need reliable steel-cutting tools and safety gear to get started. Shipping containers are typically around ¾ inch thick, so it’s entirely possible to cut through them, but experience and the right equipment are very important. When possible, try to get a container as close to the size you want it as possible.

Choosing the right metal fabricator for your project begins with research. Find a reputable fabrication company by searching for reputable contractors in your area, and then reviewing photos of their previous work, customer reviews, and photos of the company’s workshop.

Once you’ve narrowed down the list, contact the companies to ask about the types of metal fabrication projects they specialize and inquire about guarantees and warranties on workmanship. You should also ensure the company uses high-quality material, and ask about the schedule and turnaround time for your proposed project.

Costs depend on unit complexity, labor, wall mounting needs, and additional accessories like floating shelves.
