My wood fireplace repair went very well & the person who did the repair work explained everything in full and could not have been more helpful.

They came twice in two years and said the wall switch was defective and replaced it. In both situations the fireplace worked part of the time. There is obviously a secondary problem which has not been fixed.

We called on Bowden to repair a chimney prior to selling our house. The buyers' inspector found imperfections in the work which Tom himself took on to correct. He is proud of his company and did not allow imperfect work to get in the way of his reputation. He is experienced enough to know the real issues of a fireplace to ensure safe and proper function of the fireplace. We had used Bowden's services many times to clean or repair the three chimneys we had and have always been satisfied with their work. Great workmanship, reasonable pricing, professional knowledgable and courteous.

I found them on Angie's List and contacted them through the website twice in the summer. No response. I finally called and talked to a very crabby woman who agreed to send a crew out. They showed up on time. We talked about some options and they suggested a certain wood stove which I agreed to buy. They said it would be ordered for me. A week went by and I heard nothing. When I called back, the woman was more pleasant but had all the wrong info. She said the owner would call me back. He never did. I'm calling someone else.

We were concerned because we noticed the smell of gas when we turned on the fireplace. The maintenance person showed up on time and performed all work in a prompt and professional manner. The gas log has been working perfectly ever since with no gas smell.

They were very fast and inexpensive. They were super efficient in their work. They were very clean. There were no surprises with the price. The technicians that came out to do the installation were very professional and knowledgeable.

Very well. After two chimney repair firms refused to repair and certify our chimneys (which we needed to sell our house), Bowden's lookedvat it initially, measured and ordered parts for the repair (caps and crowns) and completed the repair and certified everything.The other firms didn't understand our chimneys (which included heat exchanges) but they did and did the job. One of the other firms was trying to push for new chimneys for $10,000 each.

We just purchased a property and the gas fireplace was not working as we had expected. The diagnostic services identified an unusually configured blower circuit, which was very rapidly and professionally fixed. Will definitely use them again!

I have been very pleased with my experiences with Bowden's. They recieved the wrong size of door and was honest with me. He told me that he would be sending the door back to get the correct size. He then brought it back and installed it correctly. I was very pleased with his work. I will use them again.

The technician came out today and did an incomplete job. He only cleaned the chimney from the fireplace up. He did not go up on the roof to check the chimney there and did not clean the chimney from the roof down. There is soot on the inside of my chimney after he was done.
When I called to ask why the job was incomplete, I was told ove rthe phone that they dont go up on the roof, the the chi8mney can be cleaned form the fireplace up. That anything observed inside the chimney was (1st) the mortar of the bricks lining the chimney, and then, after I told the woman on the phone that the chimney had a stainless steel liner, that (2nd) that the liner was corrugated and what was observed was the soot on that.
I would not recomend this conmpnay for this service at all.
