"This Company is by far the Best septic service company I have ever dealt with. Susan responded to my call and she was friendly, helpful and accommodating considering I needed the pump out taken care of on the same day, a Saturday. She understood my urgency and made it happen. The gentleman that performed the pump out was excellent. Friendly, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the work he had to do. I highly recommend everyone contacting Atlantic & Sewe, Inc. for your septic needs."

"I called Tricon and left a message. They called back and said they would come after 5 o'clock to look at the job and came the following day to remove the stump. They were very professional and courteous. They removed all the debris and there was nothing for me to clean up. I was extremely satisfied."

"David inspected a potential home I was looking to purchase and he was so thorough that by the time we were done it gave me a very clear understanding of what issues the house had, what needed fixing and what was downright dangerous. When buying a home, you need a great inspector like David because if you don't get a good inspection you run the risk of buying a big money pit. I bought a home once before but that was a joke compared to the great inspection David did. The home David inspected was a small 1200 sq. home but it was built in 1935 and so he did mention we should expect to see some things pop up. However, he went above and beyond and I am so grateful for his hard work that I will recommend him to others in the future as well and will call on him again for inspections. He also brought Alex, a septic inspector, with him who was also very thorough and very good and provided a very through report. Thank you, David, for your wonderful help! You have no idea how much I appreciate it."

"Iâ ve used YellowJacket for four major projects since I my house in 2017. The first project was to completely renovate the bathroom of the house I was selling. The second was a complete renovation of my kitchen/dining room in my new house, where they removed a load-bearing wall, installed a support beam, and installed an island and new cabinets. The third project was to rebuild my entire deck. And most recently I had them remove the old tile and install new tile in my entryway hallway, laundry room, and ground floor bathroom. I also had them install a new vanity, toilet, fixtures, etc. For every one of the above projects Iâ d give them 5 stars. Thereâ s a reason why I keep on going back to them over and over. I have never worked with a contractor that is as processional as these guys. Same with how clean they are! At the end of every day they have their vacuum out and you couldnâ t even tell that they were there. I have recommended them to friends who were equally happy with their service, and would do so again without reservations."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Rainwater doesn't have a direct impact on the amount of water in your well. Instead, the majority of rain runs off into other bodies of water such as streams, rivers, and lakes. These bodies of water may sometimes function as the area’s reservoir and create aquifers, which then help to replenish your well.

Normally, when your well pump turns on or off, you’ll hear a small click. This isn’t anything to worry about, but it can be a problem if it’s clicking continuously. This can indicate that the well pump is short cycling—the pump continuously turns on and off.

This can wear out the motor and provide uneven water flow. If this happens, you may need to get it looked at by a well pump professional to see if you need to repair the switch or pump.

A household of four can easily fill a 1,000-gallon septic tank within a week. It may be 10 to 14 days for smaller households. But the reason why you don't need weekly pumping is because the tank's contents eventually reach the overflow pipe. They flow down this pipe to the absorption area whenever water is used in your home. The tank keeps working at this full level until it's pumped again.

If you aren’t sure if you have a septic tank or a cesspit, you can check your property records or inspect your drainage system. A septic tank has an outlet pipe that allows liquid to drain into a soakaway or drain field, while a cesspit is a sealed tank that requires frequent emptying. If you notice a manhole cover and no nearby drainage field, it’s likely a cesspit. Signs like slow drainage or a frequent need for pumping can also provide clues. A professional inspection is the easiest way to confirm if your home runs on a septic tank or cesspit.

While abandoning a tank without treating it and following strict rules is illegal, there are several other ways to dispose of an old septic tank. One standard method is to pump out and crush the tank where it rests and bury it in the soil. Another is to remove it and transport it to a landfill. Finally, if abandonment is the best option, your contractor must pump out the tank and fill it with inert material, such as sand or concrete, depending on local regulations.
