"This was a very good experience. They where on time. It was done to the agreed upon price. The owner is Frank Tedeschi. We had a warped junk drawer. Rather then send for new drawer which would have cost us another 250 dollars, Frank repaired the drawer for a nominal fee. This was not part of the deal but he did it anyway. The quality of the work is outstanding. The cabinets look like new if not better. There was minimal inconvenience to us. They removed the cabinets doors and refinished them in their shop and then returned and them and re-installed them."

"Kitchen cabinets are beautiful. I picked cherry soft close cabinet and light granite counter top. It was a direct replacement of existing layout. Rob stuck to the timeline. Him and his crew were always professional and thorough. He let me know of a plumbing issue that may have been an issue down the line and gave me the option to take care of it proactively. Once again explained everything every step of the way. I picked a beautiful glass tile for the back splash that compliments the cabinets and granite perfectly. He is my go to contractor. The next job in the fall will be to replace my glass sliding door and I have already talked to him about getting me a price. Totally recommend to anyone. He listens to what you want to do and works with you if you have a budget. I am totally loving my new kitchen."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a kitchen island can range from $900 to $6,500, with an average price of around $4,800 for most homeowners. The final cost depends on whether you choose a prefabricated or custom-built option. It is generally cheaper to buy a prefabricated island than to build one from scratch. A budget-friendly prefabricated cart can cost between $150 and $900, while a permanent prefabricated stationary island costs from $900 to $5,000. Custom-built kitchen islands average $4,800 but can cost $10,000 or more, depending on factors like materials, size, design complexity, and accessibility.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Clean regularly, avoid harsh chemicals, and check hinges for proper alignment to ensure longevity.

In a kitchen installation, starting with the foundation and structural elements before moving on to the finishing touches is essential. Framing, plumbing, and utilities should go first, followed by cabinetry and countertops, then plumbing fixtures and new appliances. Flooring, paint, tile backsplashes, and similar finishing touches should get installed last.

If your cabinets don’t reach the ceiling, you can extend them higher, adding visual interest, privacy, and storage space to your kitchen. Depending on the height of your ceiling, you may want to extend the structure of the cabinets and install longer doors to make each individual cabinet taller, or you could add additional cabinets above the existing ones. Either option is cheaper and easier than installing entirely new cabinets.
