"I had requested quotes from several businesses and George Sparks had the best pricing. They were very nice and great to deal with. They answered all my questions before and all the way through the project. I have used them since for other projects and very please with those project outcomes also. I would recommend George Sparks Electric for any electrical need."

"I would highly recommend Ken for electrical work. We had our full electrical panel replaced and service upgraded with him. Before we had it done, we had an issue with the main breaker repeatedly tripping- leaving us without power. He came out the same morning and did a quick fix to hold us over until permitting- we were not without power for long, thanks to him. The panel replacement and service upgrade was not a quick job, but he stayed late until it was finished and we couldn’t be happier with the quality. His prices are reasonable, as well. I will be calling him if we need an electrician in the future!"

"Absolutely amazing. We had a ChargePoint EV charger installed, and he was very knowledgeable and had a lot of great tips and suggestions on the best ways to go forward with the project. Honest pricing, great communication, and very flexible. Thank you so much! I would definitely consider contacting him again for any other electrical work I might have done."

"Very happy with our solar panel installation! Raynor services was excellent throughout the whole process. They did all of the necessary paperwork and guided us through the entire process. They came out on time and completed the installation within 2 days. They left no mess at all and were very polite and respectful. We love that we have already seen a major impact on our electric bill! Kyle and Tyler were very professional and worked hard to get the job done right. We highly recommend Raynor Services and we would definitely call them again."

Replacing an outdoor air conditioner with a high efficiency, consumer reported top rated American Standard unit. Level, wired properly, and completed beyond code and required standards. Thank goodness for a team that cares and loves what they do AND our customers.
Great technicians who have amazing skill and are just good humans too.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, a bad switch can cause other outlets not to work. If the switch is part of a circuit that controls multiple outlets, a fault in the switch can disrupt the entire circuit. It can happen if the switch is wired incorrectly, has a loose connection, or is damaged. Fixing or replacing the faulty switch can often restore power to the affected outlets

Yes, the National Electric Code (NEC) requires at least one GFCI outlet in each sectioned-off portion of an unfinished basement, partly to ensure a power source is available for a sump pump in case of flooding. If you install multiple outlets in your unfinished basement, all of them must be GFCI-protected. For finished basements, standard outlets are generally permitted, but at least one GFCI outlet is still required per circuit. Keep in mind that local municipalities may have additional codes, so it's best to consult a licensed electrician to ensure your home is fully compliant.

There are a few reasons your lights may be on, but the rest of your electrical outlets and appliances are not working. The first is that while one circuit blew out, the lights may be on another circuit than your other electrical fixtures. Alternatively, your powerless appliances may be plugged into a GFCI outlet that was tripped and needs to be reset. If these issues aren’t responsible for the problem, you may have dead outlets or a wiring issue. Either way, you should contact an electrician to identify and fix the issue.

Replacing your electrical meter box is critical because it helps prevent damage to your home’s electrical system or possible safety hazards. Plus, you won’t have to deal with frequent power tripping, flickering lights, or the scorched scents that an old or damaged meter box may cause.

You’ll need to locate and hire an electrician near you if there’s an electrical project you don’t feel comfortable tackling yourself. Generally, look for a contractor that specializes in the type of appliance or component that you need help with. For wiring, outlets and similar projects, a general electrician is your best bet. For larger remodels, a general contractor will often take care of electrical projects via subcontractors.
