"We couldn’t be happier with the work done by Eagles Painting. Our house now looks beautiful inside and out. Flavio (the owner) and his crew completed all the work within the promised time frame. The quality of the work was excellent and the cost was very reasonable. Flavio was always professional and very responsive to all my emails and texts. He also sent photos as work was completed. There was even a structural problem with my back deck that was fixed by the painters without an extra charge. I would highly recommend Eagles Painting to my family and friends and we plan on hiring the company again in the future. Thank you, Eagles Painting!!"

"Noel and his assistant Dave were excellent. They painted the house, fence and all our outdoor wrought iron furniture. Their price was beyond fair. They were professional yet friendly. They went over and above their contract. We are so pleased with them that any further painting to be done in our home will be without question Noel’s company."

Small jobs welcome

"Mike and his team will have the utmost respect for your property, extremely professional and treated my home as if it were his own. The time management aspect of Mike and his crew was exceptional as well. Mike also went above and beyond to repair our gutters because he identified an issue with the pitch. They painted our entire exterior along with our shutters, not a speckle of paint outside of where the paint was supposed to go!! I would highly recommend Moxie Home projects to anyone that is in need of a professional contractor. I will absolutely use this team in the future!"

"Miguel and his crew did an amazing job on our backyard patio. Miguel was very responsive to all my texts/calls. He made multiple trips to my home prior to the project in order to finalize the exact set up we wanted. His crew was hard working, punctual, and worked efficient in order to complete the project in just over 1 week. I would hire again and recommend."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

A wood deck requires annual cleaning and regular inspections for loose or broken boards, nails, and screws. It should be refinished by applying a stain or sealer every two to three years to protect the wood from water damage, rot, mildew, and sun fading. The exact frequency can depend on the climate and the deck's exposure to sun and moisture. If your deck is painted, it will need repainting approximately every 10 years. Signs that your deck needs refinishing include faded, splintering, or warping boards.

Deck staining or painting safeguards wood against the elements through its protective layer, enhancing decay resistance, prolonging structural integrity, and improving visual appeal.

Painted decks typically require a new coat about once every ten years. In between new coats, it's best to maintain your deck by regularly removing debris, washing it down with non-abrasive cleaners, and staying ahead of structural issues, such as loose boards and rotting wood. In some cases, painting a small section of your deck affected by damage or the sun can lower your costs and workload.

Satin paint is generally considered a better choice for woodwork—including trim, baseboards, cabinets, and doors—than flatter finishes like eggshell or matte. Its soft sheen enhances architectural details and stands up well to frequent cleaning and daily wear. Compared to eggshell and matte finishes, satin is more durable for high-touch areas because it is less porous and doesn't absorb dirt as easily. Matte finishes, in particular, are prone to scuffs and are harder to clean, making them less practical for surfaces like doors and cabinets.

Choosing the best color for your home exterior should factor in longevity as well as your personal taste. To keep your house looking newly painted as long as possible, stay away from red paint. Although red homes pop and are quintessential for country-style barns, red paint tends to fade fastest in the sun. Go with earth tones if you want paint that best resists fading.
