"Sam arrived on time and was courteous. He asked about the job and seemed surprised by our work request even though we had called the office in advance to make sure that they would clean both our vents and our dryer vent for $199, or I would cancel. I told Sam that I'd cancel if he couldn't follow thru and  he said he'd call the office to verify what I was telling him. He called the office and then said that I had spoken to David and that's why he wasn't clear. David had told me to schedule the work anyway and that they would do the job for $199, but I guess he didn't tell Sam or put that on the work order. Sam then got to work.  His clothes were pretty dirty because he came from a chimney job. I was concerned about the air hose that he was using to blow all of the debris through the vents down to the main. The hose was going through the house to the third floor and was going on our carpet, but it didn't seem to be an issue. Sam took his shoes off before going on to the carpet. We vacuumed and cleaned the carpet & wood floors after the job.  According to Sam, our vents were pretty much clean anyway. Our dryer vent, on the other hand was really bad. I'm glad that we had them come out.

"I wanted to update my last review of BluRay HVAC, but there's no provision to do change it here on Angie's List that I can see. So, I'd like to apologize to Matt & Sam at BluRay for not being able to change my last review. Here's my latest review: Matt returned to my rental property at the time we had previously discussed earlier in the morning. He called me from there to thoroughly go over the issue the furnace was having. He ended up cleaning the flame sensor, and now the furnace is working fine. The only reason I am not giving a perfect rating, is because I don't like that some companies, including BluRay, now charge everyone an expensive service fee just to say hi. A lot of these companies started charging these fees when gas prices went up a few years back, but the price of gas has come down now, but the fees are still being charged to customers. But, I appreciate the good work that BluRay did for me on their return visit. Thank you very much, Sam & Matt!"

They replaced all of my gutters and also added gutter-guards for a reasonable price; they look great and are a huge improvement over the original gutters, as they've done well with some recent downpours we've had. "He was good but, following instructions, he wasn't so good. He didn't complete all the tasks that I wanted done. I felt like he was only going to do one thing because, I wasn't wanting to pay him more. I knew what needed to be done but, not how it needed to be done. I specifically asked him if he knew how to put the screens in those screens, they were kits. His intention was to do one job. You cut screen, put the rubber in, put the frame together and then stretch it. It's not hard. I just wanted him to put two screens together and put them in two windows. I have no screens. He didn't have a measuring tape. He knows his craft, just finds a way to get out of it. He was early and on time. I thought the price was reasonable and he had it done in an hour. I had everything that he needed. He knows his stuff. I don't care how you do it, just do it."
