"Jared, from Dags, was great to work with from the initial visit all the way through to the conclusion of the project. He never tried to “sell” his services to me, but rather gave insights and recommendations. He was flexible throughout the process and really just focused on completing the job in a professional manner. The service was completed as discussed, and all at a very fair price with quality earth materials. Could not be happier with the entire project and its end result. I highly recommend Dags based on the results that he delivered, his communication during the process, and reasonable pricing."

"David built a stone wall and beautiful stone and limestone stairs for us years ago. Now he and Nathan did a stone walkway set in concrete. Their work then and now is just impecable. The skill and artistry is amazing. Itâ s clear they take pride in their work. They are extremely easy to work with and come and do what they promise. A rare find. Wouldnâ t think of using anyone else."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.

A land survey defines and records the physical aspects of a property, including its boundaries, dimensions, easements, features, and sometimes topographical information. In contrast, a land appraisal determines the property's monetary value. While an appraiser will often consult a land survey to understand the property's physical specifications, the survey itself does not determine the land's value.

Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.

Measure from zero on a measuring tape by placing the metal hook right up against the edge of what you need to measure. You can also latch the hook onto an open edge—of, say, a table—to accurately measure as well. If you begin at the 1-inch mark, you'll need to subtract an inch from your total.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.
