A ceiling light will usually have two or three wires: black, white, and sometimes green. Black wires are positive, or hot, while white wires are negative, or neutral. The green wire is the grounding wire. 

When you’re wiring the light, connect black to black, white to white, and green to the grounding screw.

You can use a double-pole switch for a regular light fixture, but it's unnecessary and won’t be the most efficient choice. A single-pole switch works perfectly for standard lights. Double-pole handle high-power appliances that require both hot wires to be disconnected. Using a single-pole switch for regular lights is more cost-effective, simpler, and more common in residential settings.

To power the system down, simply turn it off and cut it off from its electricity. That means removing the transformer from the wall plug and taking out the battery that usually sits within the control panel itself. That will disconnect it from power and essentially reset the entire alarm system.

For a 200-amp underground service, you need a minimum of #2/0 American Wire Gauge (AWG) copper or #4/0 AWG aluminum or copper-clad wire. Don’t forget that, at minimum, you’ll need to use a 1 1/2-inch schedule 40 or 80 PVC conduit to successfully run a 200-amp underground service.

A 60W LED bulb is likely labeled as “60W replacement” on the package—that’s because it provides about the same light output as a 60W incandescent bulb. In reality, it likely uses less energy—usually 15 watts or less. If that’s the case, then it’s perfectly fine to put a 60W LED bulb in a 40W socket. Your best bet is to read the package carefully. It will tell you the LED bulb’s actual wattage, and as long as it’s lower than the fixture, the bulb will be safe to use.
