As it turned out various parts of our home required 2 and 3 long wood heavy boards. The company sent out 3 teams and these hard working gentlemen did a PROFESSIONAL, PERFECT JOB. MY neighbors were so impressed, stating they observed this team working non stop. Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, HARD WORKING. Left our property as they found it - CLEAN. Shingle granules can be cleaned out of gutters using a small scoop or a hose, depending on the quantity of granules and how much other debris is in your gutters. First, clear your gutters of leaves and other debris. This may remove granules in the gutters if they are mixed in with the debris. Use a plastic scoop to remove larger quantities of granules or a hose with a high-powered nozzle for smaller amounts, and collect and dispose of the granules once they’ve been removed.

If you want to replace your home's existing underground downspout, you have options. One is to connect a rain barrel to the downspout. During a storm, water travels from the downspout into the barrel. You can then use the water to irrigate your garden or lawn. 

Another option is to install a downspout extension above ground. The extension will direct water away from your home, but potentially not as far away as an underground system.

Place screws for gutter fascia brackets on every other rafter tail or a distance of no more than three feet apart. Rafter tails are typically spaced 16 inches apart from the center, allowing you to place brackets 32 inches apart.

While both work, heated gutters are a more popular choice as they don’t affect the aesthetic of the home. Roof cables are powerful, but some consider them a bit ugly. That being said, heated gutters cost less than heated cables, so the decision really comes down to budget and desired appearance.

Rain gutters should be level from front to back to prevent spillage as water runs from one side to the other. Horizontally, rain gutters should not be level. A slope of at least a 1/4-inch per 10 feet is recommended from the high end of a gutter to the downspout.
