"I had high expectations based on the positive reviews and Brian?s own assurances of his experience. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. From the initial miscalculation of the loam and seed needed to complete the project to his refusal to meet and discuss the unresolved issues, the experience was deeply disappointing. Additional concerns exist but are beyond the scope of this review. To offer a simple comparison: while Brian was working on my property, the electric company happened to reseed a patch of roadside across the street. Their quick, basic repair job yielded better results than what I received. If Brian?s outcome had matched even that standard, I wouldn?t feel the need to leave a negative review. Perhaps his services are adequate for basic tasks like mowing, raking, or plowing. But for more substantial projects, I strongly recommend exploring other options. Do your homework before making a decision. OR TO BE HONEST... just avoid him."

I am a self employed General Contractor with subs who work under me, but also with me. I work on every job and I handle all my affairs. I always work under contract and with estimates. By the hour is exactly that, by the hour! I specialize in all phases of construction. I have been in construction for over 30 years and I am fully insured and registered with the State of NH. I am lead certified and I have a mold remediation company that does all my mold work. I do not charge for travel, as that is something you have to do to get to work. I work every job differently on the billing procedures, as not every job is the same. I work with customers on all phases such as design, paint schemes, window layout, lighting, doors, and general footprints for small additions and garages. I do all my own dirt work straight through to the finish work. And most importantly, when you call my phone, I answer it, day or night!

While the trees in your backyard are good for the environment and look beautiful, they could present a danger to your home under the wrong circumstances. This task is typically beyond the capabilities of the average homeowner due to its dangerous nature, so it’s best to leave this task to a professional. Unfortunately, palm tree stumps are one of the most difficult types to remove due to how their roots grow. Unlike other trees, palm tree roots grow horizontally and vertically. Palm tree roots grow as deep as three feet into the ground, although soil and growing conditions could mean they go as far as 50 inches into the earth. 

If you want to be able to repurpose the grass in the area where you removed a stump later, you’ll have to dig quite deep—and perhaps wide—to trim away all the roots.

Grinding is a more efficient way to deal with a tree stump, although it won't remove it entirely. Even if you grind your tree stump down, the root system will still remain in place, though that will likely eventually rot. Grinding a stump will also produce chips that you can use as mulch or to cover up the hole that the process leaves behind.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large. 

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.
