"This was a daunting project, and FBI delivered. Before, during, and after our project, Frank was always available - returning our calls within 10 minutes and every day during the project calling us with a status update. When they first started ripping up the roof, they found another roof underneath. They found sloppy workmanship from the previous contractors and all kinds of water and insect damage. Our house is a Deck House and there are specific ways that the roof is engineered to be constructed. FBI spent time before the job contacting Deck House to understand the details and built the roof according to their recommendations. We had several places in the roof where the insect or water damage had eaten away at the wood all the way down to what we were looking up at as our interior ceiling. They took up everything that looked bad and replaced it with new wood, covered in insulation, sheathing, and metal shingles (and standing seam on some parts of the house.) They replaced a bathroom skylight with very detailed workmanship around it to ensure a good seal. They replaced and fixed the flashing around the chimney. These guys did an amazing job, start to finish. They were on time, professional, friendly, and they cleaned up after themselves. A few days ago I looked around the yard and wondered if the landscapers had come by - but no, it was the thorough cleanup job done by FBI. At the risk of ending with a terrible pun, these guys nailed it. I would totally use them again and recommend them to anyone I know."

"Alessandro was very responsive, polite and professional throughout the experience. He responded to all of our inquiries very quickly. He listened to our explanation of our needs (renovation of a room damaged from ice dams last winter) and our desired timeframe, and was able to meet all of our needs. With the holidays coming, we needed to have this room gutted and rebuilt quickly. Alessandro's men were onsite for 5 days in a row to get the job done. The first day they did demolition - removed wall-to-wall carpeting, pulled off all trim, and removed old (1970s) paneling. The next day they returned and installed a new window, insulation around the room, and drywall. In the remaining days they plastered, patched, sanded, and painted all the walls. They painted and installed all new trim. Separate from this work, we had removed a skylight that used to be in that room. Alessandro's men put new blueboard over that portion of the ceiling (which is separate from the main part of the room), plastered and painted the entire ceiling. They were even able to match the old swirl texture of the main part of the ceiling. All of the workers were pleasant and professional. They were very responsive to our questions and requests and clearly worked hard to accommodate us. The finished job is wonderful. Although Alessandro wasn't onsite during the work, he called us frequently throughout the project to check in. He stopped by one day to check progress and noticed that the new shingles on the outside of the house (where we had repaired due to the winter storms) hadn't been painted yet. He offered to include that as part of this project for a small additional fee.

We're very pleased with the work that they did for us. We've had bad experiences with contractors in the past - not showing up to work, or taking twice as long to do a project as they've promised - but United was completely different. Alessandro promised us that he'd change our minds about contractors, and he did!"
